I had a cat, who has sadly now passed away, who liked to nip gently at people to show affection all the time. Whenever I came to pet him, he would gently bite my hand every once in a while. At first, I thought it was because he wanted me to stop, but he would always keep trying to get my attention back afterwards, so I eventually realized it was his way of grooming me back.

Never quickly withdraw your hand. That can be your biggest mistake. When I got my cat I made that mistake a lot simply out of reflex. But at least for my cat when hes in his sorta hunting mode I guess he also tends to grab my hand or foot with his paws. I got really long bloody scratches by simply withdrawing quickly which made him use his claws also out of reflex I guess. These days I simply keep my hand where it is and use my other hand for a NoNo motion which makes him release my hand.
when the cat in my house clawed me too hard, he just scream at me. Also at the morning when he roll on his back to invite me to play, he bite and claw rather hard (on the edge of bleeding), without licking. and he is already 5 years old, I think it is just a pos by nature
It's mostly a defensive instinct. Usually happens if they're scared or feel threatened. Pay attention to what you're doing when it happens. More than likely you accidentally did something they either didn't like or that frightened them
My cat is 2 months old and she was with me a few weeks ago soo sometimes i pet her and she does do anything..but sometimes she bites me and a few days before she bite me and lick me..does that mean my cat loves me or just not feeling for peting?
HELP ME I have a cat but my grandpa keeps hitting the cat but grandpa doesn’t know that The cat was giving him the attention bite I know my cat is in pain but I cannot stop my grandpa He’s just keep hitting my cat I already tell him that but he still doesn’t understand and doesn’t care at all so help please😢 (if you understand😢)
