One of the best elvis songs in my opinion.
he did more with this song than anyone could have dreamed of doing. he keeps it low key but still manages to throw in his signature sounds. he is thoroughly in command of his abilities here. must have been having a good day before he stepped into the studio.
The soul depth and diversity of elvis remains unmatched.

His song called one pair of hands has helped make my faith stronger. A lot of his songs do. I wish he would have sang it more often. I sent it to friends and family and they all tell me how beautiful this song is. Just as all the others. It makes me cry and gives me more strength just when I needed it three years ago. And still does. God bless you .

Elvis never recorded One Pair of Hands. You are listening to Carroll Roberson. The UA-cam video/vocals are Carroll, a scam only a true Elvis aficionado could appreciate. Get a grip.
However, the point still stands. Elvis has GREAT gospel music. The live rendition of Where No One Stands Alone from February 1977 is amazing. You can really hear the emotion in his voice. It’s beautiful

I wonder if that is Jerry Reed playing that classical guitar? Presumably this could be from the Guitar Man sessions, and I know he was only brought back in officially for that one recording but still. I think that the King would have let him really cut loose, however.

@@brandonayong5823 Yep. The Guitar Man Sessions were in 1967, that is where Jerry Reed was playing. This compilation is indeed from the 70´s.
Jerry Reed isn't in the session notes for this song. It sounds a lot like Jerry Reed. I think this is one of the songs Felton Jarvis took to Jerry Reed to over dub guitar on, but I don't know. I'm trying to figure this out.

Love Elvis but my God this is annoying and we don't need to hear this. He just sings the same thing over and over again. All these songs we've heard. Most are great abd Elvis voice here is fine but let's not be brainwashed

Nice version, but it proves that Dylan is the better singer - more emotional expression, more poweer, better (often very subtle) phrasing.
Your missing one thing guys Elvis is just messing in the studio and getting the other musicians into the FEEL The GROOVE the MOMENT Doesn’t matter that “Don’t think twice” isn’t a polished peace it’s a JAM For the guy & Elvis to get in a groove loosening up & getting ready to record, guys try listening to for what it is “an amazing insight into ELVIS in the studio & at some of his best
I love Dylan great song writer & I love his style of singing but he only has one tone, so no way is he a better singer than Elvis. Seriously man don’t fool yourself. And as for POWER, LOL.

ROFL. No. Elvis is a significantly better singer. And Bob Dylan would agree. Just look up his bit on "We Are The World." He was so nervous and self-conscious about his own voice in the studio; especially up against other singing greats.
Don't get me wrong, he has a nice, folky, iconic voice. But it's nowhere near "better" than someone like Elvis - who has the golden records to prove it.
