A real account of the terrible event off Jervis Bay NSW in 1876.

In the last verse, is he saying "beneath this raging____" foam? poem? I can't make it out.

      My guess:
      Beneath this raging storm

ThreeTimesThrough I looked at other artists who sang the same verse and their lyric is "beneath the raging foam." But he says "beneath the raging storm" in other verses.

He says “But a mile of water buried me beneath this raging foam.” Think of sea foam.

It Does not matter one jot.... But NEVER what ever you do, pronounce Jervis Bay as "Jervis" It is "JARVIS" in Australian history .

@@stuart056 Thank you . I am Austrian and I would never willinly insult my one of 3 sea Shanties. My starved legs can't often move as soon and refuse to do what I want them to do, so I am a shamed enough.
