Maybe you know now, but he did play Paganini in The Devil’s Violinist” 2015. Wasn’t a very historically accurate movie, but was interesting and, of course, was great to see an actual violinist play the part.
We should also give some respect to the conductor, because being a skillful conductor, which allows them to control the entire orchestra to play in unity isn’t easy.

It mainly comes down to preference. It does look odd that the conductor is not on beat from an audience point of view. But that's how it is most of the time.

The violin is man's true companion for many reasons. 1. Both violin and man are hard to understand. 2. Both know each other's minds once knowing each other. 3. I love David's expression in this piece. He looks so much more serious at times, giving it all his attention. In other less complex piece, he is usually so casual. This really shows how difficult it is to play Paganini
It’s not how it’s originally done but I feel this is exactly the kind of showmanship and virtuosic playing that Paganini would’ve wanted for any of his works even the caprices

И стоимость такого инструмента на сегодня - порядка 7 -8 млн. долларов. Великие Страдивари и Гварнери - всемирно известные мастера, создавшие лучшие скрипки всех времён и народов. Каждый, уважающий себя скрипач, мечтает иметь и играть на такой. А чтобы всё сразу стало понятно, попробуйте прослушать 24 Каприс Паганини в исполнении других музыкантов, и на обычном инструменте...

А перед смертью завещал легендарный инструмент музею родного города - Генуи. Она и по сей день находится там. Когда выдающийся скрипач посещает этот музей, ему предоставляют возможность поиграть на скрипке Паганини. Кажется, Дэвид делал это. Но, признается, что Страдивари ему ближе. Вот они, гении, какие...

Completamente magnifico. Estoy seguro que esta pieza sonaba así cuando la tocaba el legendario Paganini.
No se de esto, pero por lo que lei, todos quieren escuchar a paganini o giuseppe tartini para ver en carne propia como tocaban sus propias obras. Solo podemos disfrutar de lo que quedo y arrastramos en el tiempo. Aun asi me quede fascinado con este video
