My brother bought me a Black and Decker "kit" over 10 years ago and it uses the same batteries as your saw... and your chainsaw looks like it would fit in with my tools which consist of a circular saw, reciprocating saw, sander, flashlight, drill/driver, and jig saw... Came with two batteries and charger... I think my brother paid around $150... And everything still works really good... Now, I live in suburban Michigan so I'm not hacking down a forest every day but for my home and yard use these tools have done really well... Now concerning your saw... Either your batteries are messed up, which is possible because they are old, or someone really abused the saw... or both... My reciprocating saw can easily rip through your demo wood cutting stuff... These were cheap tools made for light work and were great for the money for light tasks... Not everyone needs Dewalt, Milwaukee, Husqvarna etc...
It's the battery, I've watched other videos and that saw will cut faster with a good battery. They make a 20V to 18V adapter if he has other 20V B&D tools.
I seen a DeWalt battery powered chainsaw in the clearance bin at Home Depot a little while back I think it was for like $75 or 79$. Seems like a pretty good deal I mean the batteries alone are super expensive. I think the battery itself fits in a few of the hand powered tools.
If you are still interested in a corded chainsaw, look at the B&D 18", 15A, it's an extremely good saw. Be aware though, if you run an extension cord, *_it has to be_* 12 gauge and 50 feet or less or else you run the risk of burning out the motor. For small stuff like that, look at the B&D Alligator.
TAC my brudder! Good review! I’m an avid outdoorsman and I use a wheelchair since spinal cord injury when I was 19. I’m 52 now and use all terrain wheelchairs to hunt, explore, bushcraft etc.. everything outdoors including beach. I’m also semi retired doc. I’m wanting your advice regarding becoming a UA-cam reviewer, I want to help other people with disabilities get out and enjoy the woods. Any advice?
Hi, I modified the Ni-Cd battery with 10 lithium cells 30A (4,5 Ah) replaced in the box + BMS: The saw worked one hour non stop perfectly on 6/15cm branches (dry old hard wood) with permanent full power. The only issue with this engine is chain oil : only on the teeth but not enough in the bar groove. I must be careful.....But huge difference compared to the Ni-Cd!!! the chain runs always with max speed.
@@sherryrea7012 Slowwwwly...? like the work of this little full reliable tool ...? Cannot die , all metal gears, and you can change the motor easily for a 24V if you want with 12 cells in this case. Yes, the chain runs "quietly" but with Lithium much faster and stronger than this not completely honest video shows: It's clear that here he uses an old almost died NI-CD battery , 5 seconds in the beginning to explain that...and 5 long minutes to show the slowwwwwwly work of this "marvellous engine" . I use this tool very often for some little trees and ashes at the other end of my garden, and also to "clean" all my fruit trees. Job Tip Top! I will be dead before my lovely little chain saw (got it for 20$) ......and the next possible owner will only say: "who could still use such a slowwwwly sheet??"😃😃 (slowwwwwwwwwwly would be better, no?😇😜🤠🤠)
I found one of these free curbside with no battery or charger. Been trying to price the battery and charger. Not easy to find and will probably be at least $40 investment. In your opinion is it worth buying the battery and charger to get it working or pass? Thanks!
The 2ov max dewalt battery fits into the clip in runner, you just need 2 little wires with flat spades on each end to connect up, don't run the lithium battery all the way down, as you'll kill the battery, stop at one light on the battery, Anyways I've had the Ego 56v chainsaw for a few years now, it kicks ass, 4ah 56v battery on it
I think it might be a little much , but this might be what I need when the wife cooks. No joke but I know dinners soon, when the wife rushes in and preemptively stands by the smoke alarm.
Cool vid Brother Tac. As always you were entertaining. I know you aren't necessarily into the whole youtube thing anymore but dude I miss your vids and im glad to see you're putting some out again and i really enjoy the chainsaw vids. also you said this was not a how to video; to that regard if it is something you are interested in, would you consider doing a how to video.
Been using one for ten years or more to keep the campfire burning down countless two tracks. I love it! Compact and lightweight even with a spare battery. Sure beats a manual bush saw.
Yeah I will stick with my Stihl Products. That Black and Decker sounds like an RC car. Oh and try using the Plumber's Vice hold on small wood like that and you don't have to go 1 handed. Corporal's Corner has a few videos where he shows what I am talking about. Good to see some videos coming out more often Brother Tac.
Woodland Tactical any handsaw would work better than this as long as the hand saw is sharp. Even like, a fiskars axe would do far better. Honestly, if I’m going to get a battery powered saw, I’d probably get a sawzall and take it out into the woods with me to cut up wood. I’m a pretty strong dude, 145lbs and I can do pull-ups with 50lb weights weighing me down and I can almost bench 200lbs, so cutting a small tree up or processing firewood with an axe or a regular saw is like nothing to me. However I still am just 16 years old and I’m still growing. Gotta get all my nutrients. There ain’t any better place to get good food apart from the woods sometimes. Maple sap, pine needle tea, berries, etc.
Always nice to see a vid from you. Yeah that saw doesn't look like it's worth a shit. To bad you don't have anymore of those zombies running around. You could have made another vid with and used that saw to dismember them. But we don't have to worry about another zombie vid, not unless you wanted to make one, of which I'm sure all of your subs would enjoy. That's not a hint or anything. 😁
Watching your videos is the closest thing to love i have ever felt. Please stick around.
Fisher Price, my first chainsaw
Sure to have set them redwoods shaking in fear
Is that one of those state compliance saw lol
Obama saw, everyone gets one!
Reminds me of the Rc cars we used to play with as kids 😂
I ordered a pizza, waited for it. Picked it up, drove home and ate it. Left this video playing and then you cut through the wood
Well I always wonder what one of them would be like and thanks Tac for giving me that electric adventure, thanks again tac, play boy
We had an electric chainsaw that required a plug/cord for around the house use. That baby had power.

Tac going extra green huh? Gotta 8 inch bar working with 6 inch limbs I feel that lol

Explain this to me slowwwwwly.

You can buy a 20v adapter for the old 18v tools so you can put the 20v batteries on them

Cool. Its actually kinda cute.
That's a cute little saw haha
I use my reciprocating saw with a pruning blade for little stuff..
Tac’s tree service. I bought a plug in model it jammed and broke the first time out. Take w

If Mickey Mouse needed a chainsaw,,,,,,
All the best bud,,,,
Interesting product...
But it sure does take it's time
I never knew there was a demand for something like that. Gas powered husky or stihl all the way.
I'm with you

Yo playa what's happening?
Quanto dura una carica di una batteria?
Ever wonder what an RC car sounds like cutting a tree down? .... now we know ;)
👍🏻
Let's do a comparison against a Silky saw.
375 feet a min? They must be talking about the RPMs or something
Is is just me or it sucks? It looks like you could cut something with a hacksaw faster than this.
Lmao... it sounds like a toy car...
Hey Brother, have you seen the Cold Steel Recon 1 Desert Warrior Copper and OD Green knives at bladehq.com yet? ⚔️
Yeah no battery Charged saw is very good for very long
Like a kids toy.
56V EGO, yup... that one.
faster if i do it with a handsaw xD
Pencil sharpener 🤦🏼♂️
Yeah Ya know It only moves 375 feet in a minute

Rychleji to uříznu ručně
My wit cuts faster , and my Corona folding hand saw cuts faster too.

Ide rather go out with a machete
