    The silver 750's and 900's were some of the best looking bikes ever! I had an '82 900f, silver.

    Totally beautiful! My favourite bike of all time. Nobody looks as cool riding a bike as riding THIS bike. A person just looks ‘made’ to fit perfectly on this amazing bike.

    Had an '82 900F, looked EXACTLY like yours, same Kerker. I put the CB1100 oil cooler on (larger), and swingarm (boxed) and a set of superbike bars, it was a great bike!

    Beautiful classic.

    Beautiful job. Just a hint, pumping the throttle on carbs that don’t have an accelerator pump does nothing but lift the slide up and down, it’s pointless. Well done job on the bike.

      Thanks for the compliment! These carbs are vacuum operated and do have an accelerator pump though.

      Ahhh, like the Keihin CV on Harley’s, got ya. Must make a snappy throttle response to be sure!

    That is beautiful. I am so glad people are still putting the time in to keep those era Honda's in pristine shape. I had a 79 CB750 Nighthawk for my first one and it was an amazing bike. GREAT JOB!

    Bough one new in "83" , wish I still had it. A great all around bike.

    I could never afford one of these so I'll need to make do with a 90's Triumph Trident also 900cc and a throw back in looks to these Honda's.
    I spent my childhood admiring a 750f2.
    Great build it's stunning 👏👏😍

    I had a bike of the same vintage, built to the max like yours back in the eighties. I have to admit that yours is better. I never could get the carbs just right after installing the K&Ns and the rejetting kit, but it did run fine at full throttle. Take it from someone who knows-- your bike is an awesome product of imagination and mechanical ability. Congratulations and thanks for the video.

    I bought a CB 900F brand new in 1981. I had the carbs re jetted and a Basani 4 into 1 pipe. It made such a difference in performance! And sounded so freakin' sweet! But a CHP motorcycle cop kept busting my balls about it. He got me twice ( I changed back to stock exhaust after the first ticket and had it written off, but put the Bassani back on and the prick nailed me again). But during that 4 months or so, that bike ran and sounded sweeter than anything I ever heard.

    I love it - all it needs now are some period-correct upgrades to it's CHASSIS as well! 2.5x18" front wheel from GL1100A, caliper-hangers from pro-link CBX for 296mm rotors from CB1100R (awesome perfect replica from Metalgear are cheap like borscht!) OR use the whole 41mm TRAC anti-dive front end from GL1200 or GL1500 with it's 20mm front axle - Then grab the 2.75x18" rear wheel from pro-link CBX, cut down the rear disc to 276mm & use FT500 rear caliper-hanger - or better yet use the Akront "NERVI" rims which are waaay lighter & were available in much greater widths! You don't need to change the bike's awesome looks just so long as the upgrades are all OEM & period-correct!

    900's had different instruments, clip-on handle bars, choke on the left handle bar. Yours looks like the 750 set up with instruments, push pull choke from just to the left of the ignition switch and one piece handle bars mounted on the top triple clamp.

    • @IntermountainwebdesignIMWD
      @IntermountainwebdesignIMWD 10 років тому

      In The States 900F did not have clipons and had the choke and instruments just like the 750F. The one in the video has 82 bodywork not 81. I had a 81 that I put about 50000 miles on. Wish I still had it. Would like an 1100 even more!

    Idle is too low and throttle response is not right but it does look clean as new.

    What are your exact jet sizes? I have the same wiseco kit rebuilt the motor and it is backfiring and does not sound like yours.
    Ps. great job on yours. Sounds and looks fantastic.

  • @PaulD927

    Never rev a cold boldor. Just pull the choke out full and let it idle. When the engine starts to speed up as it gets warm, let the choke in in small increments until it is fully off. Revving a cold motor is never good for it.

    • @mbsevans
      @mbsevans 5 років тому +2

      You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. He barely revved this engine whatsoever.

    • @joegardiner4220
      @joegardiner4220 4 роки тому

      How is that any different from just slightly revving ( more fuel and air ) than the choke being out

    Those 5 spoke classic Honda wheels man , if you were born in the 7O’s that’s the best looking wheels you would be sure to know in your mind , Honda had that classic design that rear end together with that gas tank man Honda is legendary biggest mistake of mine was buying Harley-Davidson just to show off but in my heart I always wanted to buy a CBX SUPERSPORT Honda I totally regret messing with Harley-Davidson as the bike is ok but the people around Harley-Davidson mechanics dealers and riders a lot are dodge ass holes dishonest pricks , I got ripped off a lot in Harley-Davidson society I am selling it and getting real 7O’s legacy a CBX SuperSport 900F or 6 in-line cos I love the Honda culture man

    GORGEOUS - I love the silver frame with the bodywork, that's a really good paint scheme right there, having it match like a lot of '60s Honda models did. How about that front wheel is that the 18" version from the Goldwing? Awesome bike!

    My question is, why did you choke the exhaust down to a 4 into 1?........Why didn't you put a 4 into 2 exhaust for better flow.
