I just watched this movie and loved it. Thought they picked the perfect actors for both characters. It was beautiful, raw and awkward (which is great because most teens are awkward and never really know what to say). I guess the only thing I disliked was the fact that Aimee while she became more confident to stand up to her mom like a lot of girls just lets the guy slide by when they royally mess up and suddenly she was drinking ALL the time. Besides that I don't get how this movie didn't get more attention.

Shailene Woodley is destined for great things in terms of her career. She has shown that she is a gifted actress, with great versatility. Her work in The Descendants was outstanding in a difficult role.
Shailene just blew me away with her analysis of the character Aimee. I hope great things for her!

I cannot wait to review this one. Smart teen dramas are the best. Like Woodley says in an interview, it's a teen film for adults.

Sometimes the ignored films are the best.Just remember how many nominations they gave to that chick flick Silver Linnings Playbook,in my opinion that movie was ok,but i really doubt that it deserved all the attention that generated.Ma Vie en Rose its an awesome movie that didn´t even got the Oscar for best foreign film;sometimes its just much better to stay "Underground".
I didn’t read the book. And I thought that the potential SA was part of the characters past and that it’d come up in the movie. So bravo to her. It was conveyed at least in my opinion or at least my mind put the dots together
Hope Academy doesn`t ignore this brilliant movie
Shailene Woodley has to be nominate this year for her wonderful performance.
In "The descendats" she deserved a nomination, and she wasn't nominated.
I hope that the Academy has learned from past mistakes.
The sad thing about this movie is most people I know (me included) only knew this in the early start of the lockdown.

This better get some kind of Academy love. I think it could pull out a Screenplay nomination, and maybe Shailene can get an Actress nomination since she's blown up recently.

I've seen the film, but Academy, are you stacking the deck for this film for awards season with showing these interviews? Are you going to do that for every other film that could be considered an Oscar contender?
This thing had better be a Best Adapted Screenplay nominee.
