My brain works better with pictures than with words, so I was a rare case where I actually found today's Connections easier than normal. blue -> green -> yellow -> purple, no mistakes. Felt nice to have a good solve for once 😅
I think delta was in "starts with T" because it could be seen as a triangle. I really like connections today! I interpreted it as fudge right off and got that category first- I work with kids so I use those exclamations a bunch
I was very lucky to get the mild curses category. Looking at the sundae I was thinking it was pointing at "sauce" maybe, and sauce could be sass or cheek. Grasping at straws! 😂
Good Connections! You actually mentioned "teeth" in connection with the mouth but only after you had locked in the greens. I didn't see this red herring until after the game. This was tough but I eventually got a forward rainbow without mistakes. I didn't realize while playing that the trianlge was a DELTA. One of is sides was emphasized so I thought it meant RIVERSIDE. Great Thursday Mini! My time was 1:21. Nice Strands. Not too hard. Ultra perfect for me.
For Connections I got green and yellow straight away. I then had nuts, rats and geez as a group and had to keep guessing the 4th one. Unfortunately fudge on an ice cream sundae is an American thing so I failed 😢
I got a perfect solve in Connections but it took a while. Yellow I got right away and then eventually I clued into light blue, with the expressions of Frustration. Spotting the Fudge was key. I was *almost* going to put the zipper in that category as if to say "Zip!". But once I saw the Fudge I knew I had the Category. Next I did find purple after saying the words to myself. For green I was thinking of things with handles but by the end, obviously teeth. I think I took between 10 and 15 minutes. Because today's puzzles were only pictures, I naturally wondered if it could be played in any language but the answer is no. The green yes, but purple no (a river bank and a bank where you keep your money would not be homonyms in most languages. Nor would bed in most cases). The light blue and yellow categories would not work. Especially light blue. So, anyone whose first language is not English probably would have a hard time with this one. The Mini presented a challenge to me. I found it somewhat hard to get started and I thought Vodka was wrong because you wouldn't put vodka in a mudslide. Eventually I realized it had to be a cocktail. It also took a while to realize Bzzt! is "WRONG" as what they sound on a game show when you give an incorrect answer. Got it done in about 4 minutes.
I only got green on Connections, and I wasted 3 mistakes on that one because I kept putting mouth in there because it had teeth. I was onto the Mild Oaths thing but I didn't think of Geez. I was also onto the T category but I don't know really anything about music, so that I couldn't figure out the 4th one either. And then purple was just purple.
The connections AI-bot can probably only use the words to guess what the categories the players got wrong were thinking. I can't see it having picture recognition and how players can misinterpret the pictures. And for that mouth drawing, I think the bit above the lips is the philtrum, it looks way too low to be the nose.

Ahhh, triangle. That makes more sense!

The bot said there were 6 possible objects which could've gone into the "teeth" category. I tried mouth.
What would the sixth one have been? Rats??
Good Connections!

I made one mistake putting the mouth with the teeth category, but I got the river parts pretty easily after that.
Great job today! I got blue only 😂
The pictures really threw me off I didn’t get any of them 😭

My order with no errors: Purple - Blue - Yellow - Green
I got reverse rainbow without losing any "lives". Flawless performance!

Do was labeled so you would think of do-re-me. If you go up the scale that top note is ti.
Those who did the puzzle at midnight in the UK were not granted the crucial clue of the second note having an arrow !!

Got yellow & green. Just kept guessing blue... till I got it.

I thought compared to the drawing of the golf tee , tee shirt and a few others ( all clear ) that the mouth depiction really wasn't good.
I’ve never heard of ardor in my life so I was really confused
You thiink you have problems? We spell it ardour here lol.
