I know some restaurants in the USA have a rule against kids meals being served to adults, but I went to this Kabab shop in Australia yesterday and ordered fries, which was only available by itself on the kids menu. The lady at the counter sold it to me, but she was saying some confusing stuff that didn’t match on the menu that it got me really stressed out. She then had to get 2 boxes for me to explain the size and price differences and say “just chips (in Australia, people call fries “chips)” cause I was confused by her explanation about the chips and the sauce options as the menu said something different from what she said. She made it really stressful for me, but at least she sold me an item from the kids menu, cause the restaurant didn’t sell fries by itself outside the kids sections. It was stressful enough when a line of people were behind me too. She could have made it simple.
