Are you excited to see what happens to Exandria next episode? Would an Avatar The Last Airbender set get you back into Magic the Gathering? Let us know!
Less so with this decision. The anti-gods/religion messaging has been way too heavy this season - especially considering how directly these fictional gods are involved in thejir world and the number of times divine magic has saved the lives of characters. If they choose to kill or chase off the gods and "somehow divine magic returned" so that all the classes that rely on divine connections can continue to be played is the outcome, I may well be checking out.
Welp, I think Exandria is dead. One thing I don't think they've connected is that it won't just be the gods that suffer. The Calamity was largely a war between gods and it wiped most of life from Exandria. This is now the gods and something worse. Do they really think mortals will be spared and let sit on the side lines? Its Calamity 2.0
I think Matt will soften the blow a bit - he won’t let the world follow the logical conclusion from what we know, and it’ll turn out flushing the gods just makes things fun and different - but I’m not sure that will wash. Season 3 has been… hard, as a fan of seasons 1 and 2.
@@someusername9591 it’s just… so dumb. Imagine letting a serial killer out of prison because maybe he only kills other people. The decision making is bonkers. Alas, we have no choice but to let them cook.
Well, Imogens choice makes sense,.. Faeruun had spellplagues, and sunderings to mark transitions between rules editions that adjusted the way the magic mechanic works,.. So, this would be the in-game narrative that marks the change to the Daggerheart system,.. Or is that too much?
Haven`t watched the video yet, but isn`t the thumbnail with "Laura reboots Exandria" a little too spoilery? I`m still midway through last week`s episode of CR and now I`m wondering what happened just because the video showed up on my feed (which usually is something that I appreciate!)
I honestly don't know if I'll be as invested in Critical Role once they shift from Exandria/D&D to Exandria/Daggerfall. They kinda lost me this campaign. :|
@@someusername9591 I said "I don't know" and "kinda" because they haven't lost me yet, but the system shift might be one more thing for me not to keep at it. I initially joined because they WERE playing a system I was actually interested in. Changing it for one not me nor my table are investing time and resources into MIGHT be a dealbreaker.
No gods means no divine magic so Druids, Clerics, Paladins loose all casting ability, leaving Bards for magic healing and their magical secret slots the only way for resurrection. Divine magic has kept them alive and brought them back so many times but they always act like the gods never do anything for them. Does Daggerheart have divine magic?
As much as I love the gang, the set-up of divine magic not needing the gods that provide it seemed silly from the get-go and made me worry that we were heading down this route. I've enjoyed a lot of season 3, but the modern-world hostility to religion and faith that has kept dropping onto the table hasn't made it easy, and if they follow this through I might end up dropping out. Nothing against them playing their own game, but when it's not a game that I can get behind, it's not likely to be something that I can keep watching.
STOP WITH SPOILERS IN THE THUMBNAIL AND TITLE, ESPECIALLY SO CLOSE TO THE VOD PUBLICATION! I have not yet watched the full episode (I live in the UK and work full time so can't stream it into my head for hours with no interruptions)
Fearn loves chaos but I think subsuming herself into a higher God doesn't feel like it fits with her. Imogen wants answers and feels the need to do something. Imogen is much less sure of herself, she doesn't see herself as clearly as Fearn does.
@@someusername9591I know you weren't expecting an answer but it has been established that in both recent editions and the previous ones Beholders reproduce asexually after dreaming of another beholder or other beholder-kin varieties and that they are a completely gender/sexless species so idk what the previous comment is about at all. And Xannathar isn't even a name it's a title so its inherently genderless? Idk? Rage bait I guess?

Yes ... Vanazar, the best known Beholder in all of D&D. Right up there next to nerd icons such as Goldorf the Grey and Darth Vapor.
Xanathar has to be well known if he has a literal guide to everything, right?
@@TheCharacterSheet*Xanathar* is famous I've just never heard of this Vanasar you speak of.

Well good thing I only used Exandria as a disk world Vecna created to try and push his apotheosis a few millenia ago.

for some reason my comments are instantly deleted to me if you can read my comments. There's a class called Seraph which receives powers from the Gods

Fern has good Wisdom saves. Ms. Johnson, on the other hand, rolls like crap.
so how long before WOTC has the 'Xanathar' to be LGBT+ with pronouns?
Does xanathar not have pronouns?
Also, it’s a beholder, how much do we even know about their gender and sexuality anyways?
