“I said shiver not shimmy!” 😂 These two together are comedy gold. Buster’s widow claimed that Buster said Fatty was his closest friend. You can clearly see the bond they shared 😊
It’s crazy knowing everyone in that would have to be at least 100+ years old today that kid is even 100+ probably no longer with us like the rest of them if not it’s insane that he’s 100+
The man's name is john coogan sr.,the father of the first great child star, jackie coogan, who became a star almost overnight playing opposite chaplin in the kid which was filmed at the time of this film's release(september 7,1919).
The one silent I saw on TCM tonight was in between the main silent sunday movie. With Andy Clyde and I saw a crab biting another actor's nose when he was thrown into a sand hole on the beach and then the actor threw the crab on the actresses behind and it was biting her there and I was cracking up so bad I never laugh at today's trashy comedies. Back then they knew how to have good clean fun and make you crack up without it being smut. Love Mack Sennet but did not know what the name of that short was wish I knew! It made me laugh so hard I could not stop laughing. Today's comedy doesn't do that for me. I belong in another time wish I lived back in those days of fun!
Did Roscoe Arbuckle's terrible court case predicament have anything to do with Stan Laurel (then Jefferson) turning down Joe Rock's studio offer to pair with Oliver Hardy - when he had them both on his books? Highly likely.......Find out about that and many more other background secrets, professional and personal, in the two NEW books "ARTHUR AND NORVELLE: THE FORGOTTEN AND REAL LEGEND OF LAUREL AND HARDY" on Amazon! part of the "Decoding Laurel and Hardy Project": arthurandnorvlle@yolasite.com
While you were making films this year and making yourself comfortable, we in Iraq were suffering from the British occupation, which made us live in poverty and backwardness in 1917.🥴

"Miss Skinny will undress here."
Brilliant!
Most underrated actor of all time was Buster Keaton...
How is he underrated when he belongs to the cinema legends?
@@notsureiL Friend, I mean in those days Charlie Champlin comedy was more highlighted and branded than Keaton..

old-time slapstick comedy from 100 years ago or so was the best!! Those funny silent short movies were so great!

Wow hay q ser muy culto para ver estas obras de arte, un clásico de clásico de reclasicos mis respetos para los q entienden
This is most definitely one the best arbuckle/keaton shorts, they're both wonderful here, but so's al st.john.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🥀🥀 BIG BUSTER KEATON
Bravo Bravo👏
12:53 Wuauu! Buster looks very good with that wig and white dress. He's a vulgar "queen" but beautiful and lovely.
I think Buster stole the show.
Wow keaton...
I love how they all teamed up to avenge the assistant.
keaton gets credit for having a wall drop around him while hes not looking, but we just saw it.
Had no idea how good he was till I watched this clip. Excellent !!!👍
Who?
Now,Clarence Marmalade was a dancer!! That boy could cut a rug!
Some really funny pieces in this & the eccentric dancer was incredible.

Awesome fact Bro.
He almost seemed to be playing a gay stereotype -- a hundred years ago! Am I the only one who saw that?
Imagine the GOAT wearing a dress over a hundred years ago! How did civilization survive?! 😂 He was an absolute genius ❤
muito show
Buster's definitely beginning to come into his "stone face" here.
Hii
a tip: watch series on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Bryson Patrick yea, I've been using Flixzone for months myself :)
@Bryson Patrick Yea, have been watching on flixzone for since november myself =)
@Bryson Patrick definitely, have been using flixzone for years myself =)
great.
I am glad Seen that Label.
In the flick's beginning, that female assistant reminds me of my arduous years in the corporate world but with paper instead of actual weights.
Now this kid is around 107 years old if he still lives.
Great Fatty - Great Keaton. USA have many big talents.
"The eccentric dancer", Lol
He'd hold one, for sure
Well I make a marathon of
arbuckle shorts
Who in 2021
Arbuckle and Buster can't hold a candle to lady marmalade 🤣
Buster looks good in drag! Lol! All hail Queen Buster!
2019??

ロスコー・アーバックル、カッコイイね!

The middle eastern dance part might’ve predicted Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Anaconda and Gangnam Style!

@2:55
A shame this is last film before Keaton signed with MGM and began the lowest point in his career...
Chris Backhaus, I thought his first film with MGM was the Cameraman (1928) his ones beforehand were with United Artists or Metro
you are correct
This is very, very early in Keaton's career. He didn't become a major star for several more years. He went to MGM in 1928. This film was made in 1919.
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
While you were making films this year and making yourself comfortable, we in Iraq were suffering from the British occupation, which made us live in poverty and backwardness in 1917.🥴
shut up, you weren't suffering back in 1917.
While you were making that comment, people in palestine were and still are...
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
