It has been a long time since I have eaten chicken livers. The stores where I live sell the giblets. My wife cooks them (hearts and gizzards) in a sour cream sauce with onions. But I would surely try out your fried chicken livers they look delicious. Thanks for sharing.
Hello beautiful blessed friend and family. I see you in the kitchen. I'm here watching and taking notes on this chicken liver. Let's get it. In all my life, I don't think I've ever cooked chicken liver but I hear that they're delicious. I know it always smell good when my mother made liver and gravy and smothered over rice, Thank you for sharing. Smooches 😘😘😘😘😘😘
Hello from Juliette in New York, again!! I love chicken livers wrapped in bacon with sauteed onions. My mother used to make them. I just can't bring myself to touch them raw!😬😂😂 I'll bet fried is delish! Oh..and I love chopped chicken liver in a club sandwich or spread on a cracker! Good stuff!😋
Yes my Mother used the brown paper bag to mix chicken livers & any meat she fried with black pepper , salt & flour . I use a Ziploc bag to mix my meat & spices with flour .
I used to buy chicken livers at McDonald’s in West Covina California and they were so wonderful and then McDonald’s quit making them so I haven’t had them in years
Brown paper bags!! Oh yeah but not just for breading before deep fry. The older ladies in my family baked pies and breads in brown paper bags, too. Also some meats covered and put in a damp paper bag. Sad to say I do not have all those recipes. But chicken livers like this? You bet I am making these just to get the aroma in the house and then the luxury of the taste.
Most people don’t like liver, but I actually prefer it. I like liver and onions or deep fried, but I’ve only got one guy that could deep fry those things right at a store that we used to go to growing up, but he retired and the people that own it now mess up his recipe.
Why do some ppl coat it with egg wash or milk first? I never cooked mines that way but never knew what it did to the liver.. Do it suppose to enhance the liver flavor?
Before you put them in the flour, while they are in the milk and egg wash or before you put them in the wash, jab them throughout with a fork and they won't pop when in the oil frying.
Beef liver you have to prepare it right so it is not like rubber ,You must pull the membrane/silver skin off and put some baking soda and let it sit then rinse the baking soda off and pat dry before frying the baking soda and removing that membrane makes all the difference with beef liver, many people do not know this step and their beef liver is rubbery and tough
I don't care who you are.....Fried chicken, livers, gizzards.....Thorow in a couple of cold salads in the summer or homemade mac & cheese in the winter, this will transcend all cultural differences, religious differences and political differences in about one minute or less. You have those combinations or separate these delicious recipes, you are a friend. All the other bullshit is just bullshit. Sit down with your neighbors, have some good food together!

Before paper towels, those brown bags were also used for draining fried foods. Large grocery bags. 😉
I still use brown bags. Paper towels don't cut it

You won't get a juicer turkey than one baked in a paper bag. But, didn't know about pies and breads!
