Honduras Expedition For Spanish Shipwrecks 1998

I shot this video back in 1998, when I teamed with Rob McClung (co-finder of the pirate wreck "Whydah") to track down some potential treasure wrecks off the coast of Honduras with the help of some local divers from the Bay Islands, Honduras. We managed to locate quite a few promising sites, battled a storm in which a lot of fishermen drown in the area we were operating in, and returned home safe. It was an amazing adventure and I'm happy that I was able to fulfil my childhood dream of searching for 400 year old Spanish shipwrecks! The bond I made with the divers from the small community of St. Helene was the best part. I'll never forget dancing to country music in a jungle bar with no electricity, no government or police, no cars, roads, or stores.
