The most raw talent discovery of Cool Kiz is so far Hak Jin. He was literally unknown when he started. But now I noticed a lot of following not just domestically but internationally as well. That's including myself. I have become a fan thru this show. I hope Hak Jin will become a famous actor. He reminds me of So Ji Sub and Jo In Sung.
The coach is really something else. He is so good in seeing nice things in the players and able to praise the players well. No wonder his team win in his first time as coach 👍
Jinsik was on another level still better than most professional players even today .. his attack and his understanding of the game is unmatchable.. specially the last defence and reading on fake shot in first round
Honestly the group was divided weirdly, one team was full of attackers and the other full of defenders. And we all know the defenders of CK ain't that strong. So one team was definitely better than the other in terms of players. I think this game wasn't meant to see which team is better, but to let the attackers improve their attacks and the defenders improve the defending. It was like a game of attackers vs defenders. I think the defenders learned a lot through this game, also the attackers, they learned new ways and all that. Which makes me look forward to the next match.
Hakjin has been good from the start, but he's getting even better. Ryohei is an awesome player, it's too bad we don't see as much of him. Manseok is an excellent defender, he improved so much in such a short time. Also Donghyuk I can't believe how good ge can play after learning for such a short time. Kangnam was really bad at first but look at him now. Also Jota he's getting better n better. Sleepy would be a decent player, but he doesn't play enough.. And Hodong, he's still a bit slow, but he's improving. CK fighting! I'm really gonna miss this when it ends..
Maybe Hodong can take a backseat at times and let Sleepy play more to hone in his skills and improve himself more since Hodong is more like a rock during competitions.
Hodong barely does anything during games and Sleepy is actually pretty good at defending. I know Hodong is the MC and all but he can still host from the bench tbh XD
he should have MCd from the side lines, then he can do something he's actually good at: provide commentary on the game in a comical way. him playing means we dont get him making those comical comments cuz he's sorta focused on the game (i guess idk man he sucks so bad i cant believe he is actually paying attention to the game)

Imo ryohei should have been placed in Kim sejin's team cos they don't have a proper setter while the other team has the professional setter. I think it would have made a difference since now, the players in Kim sejin's team have to play a double role of being a setter and striker which is not efficient. A setter definitely plays an important role for the strikers to score. To quote from the player which Kang hodong mentioned Volleyball is a game of setters.
As a digger, I believe that volleyball is a game of team work unlike other team sports. The setter cannot help the spiker if the digger misses the first ball. And the digger plays an important role so that the opponents cannot score. The attackers and setters tend to be in the limelight more and the diggers have always been unappreciated which is a sad thing because team work is very important in team sports, especially in volleyball.
to quote haikyuu (lols) volleyball is a team sport, where if even one position is missing, the sport cannot be played to the full extent. without a setter, libero (DS) and attackers/hitters u cant play well. ppl usually say its a game of setters because that's who is usually coming up with the strategies during a live game. where they toss dictates who hits it where the blockers would be and where the DSs or libero will need to be. so its the setters trying to strategize. the middle blockers and setters are usually invisible to casual watchers, while liberos and hitters are the ones celebrated most. liberos are regarded for their incredible defense and digging ability to save a ball and continue the game, while ofc the most popular position that all casual watchers love: spikers, the main ppl scoring the points and the one with the most power so ofc everyone looks at them the most (tho it is interesting to note that setters and opposite hitters (wing spikers who are the ones most often scoring) are the positions that pay the most and are in highest demand). most ppl havent even heard of middle blockers. however, ppl who know volleyball know exactly how important each position is, they see and appreciate each move of the setters, DSs, liberos, middles and hitters. also side note the term ur looking for is Defence Specialist(maybe ur an Outside Hitter? they usually are DSs) or Libero, there's no such thing as digger, its just a dig and its a move that anyone stopping a ball from touching the ground is pretty much doing.
Actually, I used the term digger because that is what is being used now by viewers naming back players as such.. But in the old days (yes I am quite old now, a GenXer), I was called the center stopper and had to go after the first ball (I am not a professional player). It was called stopper before. And I understand the role of the setter. which is actually a popular role in volleyball today and in the past. The libero just became popular when it was introduced. Stoppers during my time were not lionized nor recognized that much because we were supposed to just stop the ball by all means necessary. In the distant past, we could not use other body parts to stop the ball. Service balls were needed to make points until you reach 15 unlike today where scoring resembles table tennis. It was different back then. I maintain my opinion, though that compared to other team sports, volleyball cannot be played without teamwork even if the setter strategizes who should do the hitting. If the first ball is not stopped well, the setter cannot set well. In basketball or soccer, for example, the star players can usually score for the team without using other team members that much.
I enjoyed this game so much and it looks like they enjoyed it well too. I love how the legends were casually talking and teasing each other while showing off their skills...legends indeed. Ryohei never fails us with his serves and Hakjin's hair gives me some Jo In Sung feels. ❤️

I onced experienced that I was just waiting to be put in. Then years later I realized they only put me in there so that they can participate. Also I'm glad cuz my team didn't won a single round HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Hodong acted like he know everything, but hello you're not the coach, they should put Sleepy in the game instead Hakjin and Ryohei are the best best of cool kid, you put them in the same team, the result is obvious. The cool kids in the opposite team barely got to touch the ball.
I so agree with you. Hadong should stop acting like he is so good and knows what he is doing when in fact he is like a rock during games and cannot run after balls unlike Sleepy. But he is the MC. I also hate how he keeps shouting but that is his MCing style which I do not like. I prefer Yoo Jaesuk and Jaesuk is more athletic than Hadong since he runs fast and plays baseball. Sleepy is better than Hadong and should be used more often.

Even though the teams were not divided fairly I think Sejin’s team showed that a good defense is the greatest offense...that was a great game to watch.
On an overall note, the team has gotten better. Their defensive plays have improved. Heck, even Kangnam improved. Ho Dong, not so much--no change there. As the matches continue and intensifies, so does the play from Cool Kiz (which is good). However, I think they're still slightly weak in terms of mental toughness.
These old legends are amazing!!! And further proves my point about Hakjin being overrated comment, on the previous video. These guys prove that it’s not youth but about skill. Brown bomber was hitting line, off hand and anything in the air. Unlike Hakjin who needs the perfect set, to do anything. Hakjins form needs a lot of work. He plays like a high school player or someone who just finished club volleyball. Ryohei’s form is a lot better. If he had the height he could trump Hakjin. These old legends were inspiring and that old lady with her skills made her HOT. They need to stop saying Hakjin is the ace and make Ryohei the ace. It’s like we know Jayheoon was good but Jota was better in judo and the true ace. But I still like Mr. true body! He’s a good dude.

Aaaaaah for the past 2 days I'm watching all the cool kiz volleyball episodes ...it's a pity that I couldn't do that 4 years ago... I love how dedicated they are ....I'm love everything and now love volleyball too !!!! And the bonding between coaches are cute tooo ........ This show is really good idk if they are continuing but do continue this if it was stopped.

You can tell the Kool kiz are good when they can play such a close match with legends. too bad Sleepy sits on the bench for so long lately. I guess volley ball is not meant for him. Kangnam really improved. He was horrible at the beginning.

One of my favorite episode. I wish they did the same when the other pros came for a visit. They should have divided the pros among the Cool Kiz members. In this episode, not only did they show the pro legends, it also showed the skills of the Cool Kiz members. I love it... :)

Really tho, this justs shows that if you can bring out the best potential of your spikers’, you’re a good setter. Tossing the ball in a really comfortable way so that your spiker can spike a good one takes experience and skills. Just how Shin Youngchul showed when he tosses the ball to Hakjin, despite not being together for a long time, both of them trusted each other which is why they got those points for the team. And i really really admire this kind of gameplay. Nice game to both teams and in the end it just boils down to good sportsmaship!
Watched bits of this already... Ckotb shld do intensive training b4 tour... This game was ok but respect for youngchul for actually giving training n tips for those in his team esp jaeyoon, hakjin n ryohei...
after this episode, they do two tour matches and then they get some more training from coach Shin Jinsik! (well, from the preview, it just looks like a really good rematch between rivals Kim Sejin and Shin Jinsik lol)

i watch this again after 4 years, everytime they close up on sleepy at the bench im screaming 'LET HIM PLAYYYYYYYY!!' why take him as new member just to make him as a benchwarmer? he can play well but lack of real game experience he may lack compared to others. give him chance..
The other team had a lot more of the better players tho the legends did play really well. When Manseok missed on the second serve and the commentator jinxed him that was jokes haha. Jota cheering is so cute. Who's that new guy next week?

I love how dedicated they are ....I'm love everything and now love volleyball too !!!! And the bonding between coaches are cute tooo ........ This show is really good idk if they are continuing but do continue this if it was stopped.

One of my favorite episode. I wish they did the same when the other pros came for a visit. They should have divided the pros among the Cool Kiz members. In this episode, not only did they show the pro legends, it also showed the skills of the Cool Kiz members. I love it... :)

Really tho, this justs shows that if you can bring out the best potential of your spikers’, you’re a good setter. Tossing the ball in a really comfortable way so that your spiker can spike a good one takes experience and skills. Just how Shin Youngchul showed when he tosses the ball to Hakjin, despite not being together for a long time, both of them trusted each other which is why they got those points for the team. And i really really admire this kind of gameplay. Nice game to both teams and in the end it just boils down to good sportsmaship!

Watched bits of this already... Ckotb shld do intensive training b4 tour... This game was ok but respect for youngchul for actually giving training n tips for those in his team esp jaeyoon, hakjin n ryohei...
after this episode, they do two tour matches and then they get some more training from coach Shin Jinsik! (well, from the preview, it just looks like a really good rematch between rivals Kim Sejin and Shin Jinsik lol)
