No need to take the wheels off unless you are going to check pad wear and ball joints, gaiters, etc.
Use a container that holds more oil than you are draining, and put newspaper under it.
Use the same funnel you used to fill the engine, to empty the old oil into an empty container. Put newspaper under that too.
Cat litter is good for removing oil stains from your driveway.
Very therapeutic to watch! 🙌🏽
Appreciated all your help
Thanks man I’ve just bought this car. I could not think of a way to get it on the axel stands without damaging it. This really helped, thanks again.
Appreciate it!
for the viewers who has B200D you need 6.5ltr of oil and Mann filters for your own good :) fyi
Very clear and easy to follow . Thank you and I waiting for B service video
Very enlightening, thank you
Hi, thanks for the video. Just wonder where do you find the “silver cap” to take the oil filter cover off?
Thanks a lot, do you know if the procedure is the same for the diesel OM607 (Renault k9k) motor' (B180 CDI 2014)?
As the oil nut is in front of the oil pan and you tilt the car backwards your do not completely drain the oil pan leaving some old oil inside which is not optimal.
Yes you're right, please don't follow that step. I take the rest was good since you had nothing improvement to point out there?
Great video. Thank you
Thank you for your vidéo, helps a lot
Hi Imran, Where did you pruchase the low black ramp.
Perfect. Tks
Hi, what’s the sequence to reset the car service message?
Hi thanks for upload and taking the time to show us how to do this, just wondered if you could give me a part number for the oil filter you used or which one is needed? Cheers
@@filmsbyimran_ Thanks that is exactly what i did, its such a nice car also!
Dude I loved this video, easily changed my oil. I have one question though not related to oil because your video is so good. When I turn on the car, and I am in park my car lurches forward every now and then is that normal?
@@filmsbyimran_ the car stopped doing the lurching on its own. But I got a service b on my gauge cluster what do I have to do for that? I tried searched the web and it basically says brake fluid, oil change (already did that), cabin filter and possibly spark plugs. My exact code is b5.
Your video is very made, very clear and easy to follow. Thank you, I have just subscribed and told my friends to do the same! Can you do one showing transmission oil change?
Thank you so much for this video! I have learnt so much! Allahumabaarik, this was very amusing to watch!
thanks for sharing the video. i am actually a newbie. regarding your undertray, what type of material it is? it is some sort of fibre insulation material?
Its just plastic, so be careful to delicate with it
This is NOT a general W246 video. This is only for his spesific engine! Which I don't even know which is. The petrol engines, like mine B180 is nothing like this, not even the oilfilter lid is same color. On mine it is on the backside on the left side and it is a black lid, so it is very hard to see.
Imran superb video mate. Where did you purchase the ramps please?
@@filmsbyimran_ thanks mate.what make is your jack? Makes light work
Man that a great video, got yourself a sub. Have a b250 myself, will be following you for tips. What's your thoughts on run flats vs regular tires? Also what about wheel alignment?
Where ist the exact point to put the axle stands? Don't you need a piece of rubber?
Yes, it will be good to use a piece of rubber, but it doesn’t make much of a difference. You’ll see a piece of metal protruding out a little bit more that’s where you place the axle stand
Why do you take wheels of? Undertray bolts size are 8mm. Drain bolt is at the front of the sump so you should drop car at horizontal level to make sure all oil was drained. Other ways good work thumbs-up.
what size is sump play bolt ?
@@liamrawson191 sorry don't remember maybe 13mm.?
1- the wheels don't have to be removed. Drive the car up ramps then you won't even need jack stands safety is 100%
2- your car only took 4 litres because you checking oil level with it jacked up in the air. Drain your oil replace your sump nut drop the car then put your oil to get true readings.
3- way to much of a mess that was 10mins x5.
4- the way you loosen your wheels nuts think about your back rather push down then pull up.
Great vid to try and help others.
Thanks for your tips
Sallam bro. U don't need to take the wheels off bro
Its a nice video but btw you were doing a bad job by refilling your dirty Oil into the old package. All the oil beside is going to go ists way down to the groundwater. Bad for the health of each of us.
Per cambiare l olio , togli le ruote??? 🤣🤣🤣
#gretathumberg
The way I look at this: if you can afford this car, you don’t have to do the oil change yourself
And what about those who just love to work on their cars? Every oil and filter service on my cars and motorcycles are made by me cuz I love it!
1. What do the wheels dismantle for?
2. Too small an oil collection container!
3. Oil left on stones and in the earth!
Hopefully you will pay for penalty there!
Environmental sinner !!
It's not as easy as 1,2,3.
Have to get ready with the tools and a lot of work to be done.
Minute 8:40
Are you insane? Oil on the soil is the absolute worst to humanity! Stop this kind of shit immediately!!!
@@filmsbyimran_ ? What no why? Mercedes does oil changes while hot oil after driving from the top through the dipstick...otherwise there would be a service hatch on the baseplate. And no copper grease on the wheels either it gives dielectric corrosion and is generally prohibited because you break the surface stick force by introducing another layer. Please just kick on the tires by foot and stop lubing them to do it by the book, or as the trained people do it.
Experiment can kill as someone might do it "special" way and then it wasn't good enough. So for safety reasons work by code and not own standards
