Awesome old school Mud racing and tractor pulls...I grew up going to these events and watching these videos...You can tell this was broadcast on ESPN cuz those little "sound bleeps" lol..Great post, great video thank you!
Steve brought the Grounds for Divorce Ranger to Gravelrama in 1995 - 96. It was then sold to Frank Olezewski and renamed Joint Custody Too. It continued returning through 2001 as a truck, then rebodied as a roadster. His wife Tina drove it to the fastest 4WD pass in 2007 only to be surpassed by the competitor she was running in the opposite lane on the very same race!
The tires just keep getting bigger and bigger. Also, I like how Bret Kepner has problems believing things. If I had seen this as a kid, I would have gone nuts.
I never new this event existed! Thank you for posting!
I remember watching this when it was originally broadcast. I was in kindergarten at the time lol.

Goliath is now sitting in the International Monster Truck Museum in Butler Indiana...
1988 USHRA Monster Trucks (Hypothetical) Points Standings After Race 1:
1 Samson - Don Maples 3
2 Hercules - Larry Tura 1
3 Goliath - Alan Tura 1
The tires just keep getting bigger and bigger. Also, I like how Bret Kepner has problems believing things. If I had seen this as a kid, I would have gone nuts.
Yeah! Quads, then modifieds, then tractor tires then monster trucks! I've always admired that about this.
Would love to see Samson 1 be restored like this version of the truck
One would never see that in New York these days....
No, probably not.
