Powertex & Plastic - Part 1

  • Demonstrating how Powertex can be used on plastic surfaces. This video shows how an empty bleach bottle can be recycled into a useful storage tub for (in my case) paint brushes.
    Part 2 will demonstrate how, once dry, you can add further colour to your project using micro powders and varnish.

    This is such a great idea as it’s great to make use of plastic containers. I’ve just prepared a milk carton and bleach bottle 😁 what product did you use to coat it with?

      You need to first cover the plastic in masking tape, then, paint and add fabric textures using Powertex Universal Medium. It comes in a variety of colours which you can find here: www.powertexuk.co.uk Enjoy! 🙂

      Having thought about it I may not have answered your question fully, sorry about that! The specific product I used for this project is Powertex Fabric Harder, which comes in a variety of colours and, once dry and left to 'cure' for 3-weeks, is then weatherproof.
