Age is not an issue. Repeating for JEE depends on what you have done in +1,+2 and your foundation in PCM subjects. There are only 6 months for the next JEE main exam!

IIT KGP is way bigger than Ropar. Choose Ropar only if you really want the top branch which is electrical, else go for the IIT KGP
