- All of the cutscenes that contain the Arbiter from the best Halo game in the lineage...Halo 2. Well that's my opinion anyway.
Yes, I do realize that some of the cutscenes have humans in them (such as the Chief, Johnson, and Keyes), but I can't delete them because the Arbiter is involved in some way with that cutscene. - Ігри

The arbiter has the best storyline
Keith David as the voice of Arbiter is gold. Nobody could do it better.
For me, Arbiter was the star of Halo 2. Master Chief was just a side story for fans to be able to catch up with the star of Halo CE. That's what makes Halo 2 my favorite game in the series.
I’m 8 years late but arbiters story in halo 2 was really good. I wish they made his story similar in halo 3 rather than make him a side character.
The Arbiter is my favorite video game character ever. His dialogue is amazing. I like him much better than Chief too because he's more developed as a character. He even tries hard to show compassion to his enemies like where he tried so hard to convince Tartarus to change his mind even after he tortured and nearly killed him.

***** I'm with you on that. While Halo 4 wasn't to the same level as it's predecessors it still wasn't awful. Plus 343 rushed Halo 4, something they aren't doing with 5, testing a Beta, getting buyer reports. So Don't despair!

I always liked this one better too. It's not the physical pain making him cry out, it's the mark of shame being pressed to his hard earned honor. The scream always struck me as a more emotional one.
Also, the new cutscenes are too fast. It really undercuts the dramatic presentation.
That campaign loading screen is nostalgic beyond any measure.

Halo 2 is my favorite for a lot of reasons but one of them is the story of The Arbiter. The Arbiter was written so well, his dialogue, how he became The Arbiter. I was more interested in the Elites in this game than Chief and humanity honestly.
Thanks for the HD upload, love watching these scenes. Takes time to appreciate how good it was, back in high school.
The "heretic" should've offered the arbiter to leave on his ship and ask the oracles all the questions he want to know the truth of Halo rather than idiotically shooting the arbiter like crazy
You can achieve more with a kind word and a gun than you can with just a kind word. Besides it allows the Heretic Leader to monologue at you during the fight as any good boss should do.
thought about this for awhile too. i assume he must have been convinced who ever that arbiter was wouldnt believe them, being the instrument of the prophets. or its an elite thing and he believed if he could kill an arbiter then they would actually heed his word
he just didnt have the patience or want to take the chance of it backfiring, the platform they were on was falling to the center of a Jupiter-esque planet and the Heretic wanted off. the circumstance made it really hard to have the simple explanation that we all wanted. offering to take the Arbiter on his ship with all about 20 seconds to make that call is a massive gamble.
I like the sound of the Phantom when it drops the Arbiter at the Quarantine Zone.

i miss the old old halo 2 cutscenes sometimes. . The anniversary cutscenes do so so many things right but messes up the rhythm for me. It always feels alittle off.
Yeah it's just... Not the same. Whenever I replay these games in MCC, I always use the original graphics. The cutscenes look great but they just... Feel different.

Thanks! The other older version of the Arbiter cutscenes (which looked like 240p) has about 130,000 views, but I promised the viewers I would eventually make an HD version, so here it is. I added an annotation link from the old one to here so hopefully they click here instead now.

He let master chief blow up the halo ring
The Covenant wanted someone to blame for the destruction of the ring in the first game, and he seemed most accountable. They accused him of heresy and betrayal for failing to destroy the Pillar of Autumn before it found the ring. They also blamed him for the humans eventually landing on the ring, and finally, they blamed him for failing to stop Master Chief from destroying the ring (Even though he was following protocol by turning his attention to the Flood outbreak.) He pretty much gets everything pinned on him.

it's a special sign that the covenant do to punish one that did the worst possible crimes against the covenant. later it became a symbol of honor and the symbol of the separatists
