Luke Rockhold works out in front of the media at and fans at the UFC 194 open workouts. Jose also speaks with the media afterwards in a brief Q&A session.
On December 12th (13th in Australia) #1 contender and interim champion Conor McGregor takes on long-time featherweight champion Jose Aldo in the main event of UFC 194. In the co-main event, #1 Luke Rockhold takes on Chris Weidman for the UFC Middleweight belt.

This dude was special. Definitely an underachiever EVEN as a champ. Length, Reach, Dexterity, Kicks, BJJ.. guy could've been a goat.
Then I see his kicks and movement, it's hard to believe that he's also a BJJ expert. Truly phenomenal fighter

I think his character is a bit childish or egoistic, but professionally speaking he is always prepared. He never under estimates his opponents. Maybe one of the most physically disciplined naturals in fighting.
Im not a luke rockhold fan but he is a true professional who I believe is a clean athlete-he is also in great shape for every fight-credit where its due
Oh how the mighty have fallen. It is sort of sad to see the downfall of this guy, first Bisping (then he beat Branch) then Yoel then Jan.
It is super unfortunate. He truly is very talented. I wonder if leaving AKA was the problem. He hasn’t looked the same since. He was still with them for the bisping fight but he was going through personal issues at that time as well

@@boomds5602 He seriously one of the greatest talents ever. He absolutely dismantled Chris Weidman, only to then get humbled not one, not two, but three times. He had everything going on for him. The belt, good looks, a successful modeling gig.

@@ragnarlodbrok1233 because Rockhold was being a dick about the loss. Bisping tried time and time again to find middle ground with the guy but he kept being arrogant and underestimate opponents and has a make shift excuse all the time to pad his potential losses.
Rockhold held his hands higher against nobody in the open workout than he did against Bisping.

Luke may get some hate, but I think people need to realize that that could be the best middleweight to ever do it. He had a pretty tough road to the title and had a very high finish rate and deadly, well rounded MMA skills. And this was honestly the best open work out I've seen. Good music with badass athleticism.

am wondering how much a fighter like Luke Rockhold is doing in gym for static strength ( deadlift, bench and squat) to maintain his muscle mass? If he is doing only sparring and conditioning he would lose his muscles. Anybody has any clue?
A good diet. There are marathon and ultra marathon runners that are jacked
Anabolics alone won't kickstart hypertrophy. Only thing alone is genetics. People don't realize genetic doping has been a thing for over a decade. USADA can't test for that. Every person has a genetic ceiling and floor that will occur when healthy. Once you reach a certain point your body will maintain a certain level of muscularity down to a few percent points of body fat percentage. This is highly dependent on your natural androgen and test level. Some people also aromatize their own test at lower levels then others and are able to take advantage of a greater amount of free test their body produces before converting to estrogen, dht etc...then there's the receptors. So many factors depend on this, but I don't believe Rockhold has a physique you can't attain with either none or a minimal amount of weight training. Boxing alone and cardio cutting down to about 185 I would be similar musculature au natural, but I weight trained for years.

Yea you have never kicked once in your life. You can hit moving target but thats not the only way. Basics or advanced pad work is best learned when they are stationary.
