Then I would have given your my best moving tip... make your bed your priority when you move, so you have somewhere to crash and label each box with the room name when you are packing. Create an emergency box, with mugs, tea/coffee, kettle, cutlery, biscuits and details of local takeaways. Hope you have a wonderful life in your new home!
Beautiful new flat! Regarding the curtains in the bedroom, I think keep them short because longer ones would cover the radiator and you wouldn’t want all the heat getting stuck behind your curtains. I also think you’ll have fun arranging your garden space as well. It looks really cozy and comfortable and I’m so happy things worked out for you in the end!

congrats!! lots of obstacles, but you survived and now can build your new joyful journey. The fridge sound like the defrosting function, if the fridge part is too full, the freezer cannot keep everything at the perfect temps in freezer section, so it over-compensates, and keeps cutting in to make itself colder sometimes, things to check, would be temp set for each fridge and freezer. and If the unit is balanced on the floor properly. There is a drip tray inside the frame of the fridge and the sound is when they tray heats up and vibrates doing it's job, it should do that but not vibrate so loudly that you can hear it though, that usually means that the freezer is trying to self regulate too often. hope this helps

Congratulations on your new home . We had a situation where we had the entire contents of our house loaded on a van we hired to move and had exchanged and at 4:00pm we had not completed . We were assured not to worry . At 4:30 pm our buyer called us and said it wouldn’t be going through that day ! He found it highly amusing and said “ our solicitor forgot to tell us to transfer the funds ( they were cash buyers ) . We had a 4 year old and an 18 month old . We had to stay at my parents the night and next day was my 30th birthday . We had to sleep on floor at my parents and kids were on their sofa and we literally had changing bag with nappies and spare set of clothes for the kids . Even then we had to wait until almost 4pm the next day for the keys it was awful . It was 28th May but we were still moving stuff in once it got dark .

YAY after SO much craziness (I would have totally broken down by that point) you're a HOMEOWNER! I love your plaid curtains, it makes it very cozy and it goes with your sweaters! Also, that haze in the narrow glass window, if it's a double pane window check the seal on inside and outside. People will tell you it needs replacing but if you wait til a good dry summer day when there's less haze, and then use clear caulk to caulk around the window on both sides, it will at least be sealed again, which is good for cold. You old refrigerator WAS making an awful sound! Our house came with a 1980's fridge and although it's beige and makes a lot of noise it's such a good machine that I don't want to get rid of it now! I don't think your bedroom curtains are too small, and AAHHH you are very lucky to have TWO outdoor spaces! Thanks for the tour! It's SO COZY!! I'm glad you are finally settled because yeah, moving can bring up a lot of feels.

Nice little apartment, and you’ve done a really nice job decorating. As far as the blue rug in the living room goes, if you think it takes up too much floor space, just move it further back under the couch towards the wall. You can move it back just far enough so that the coffee table will sit in the middle of the rug, just where you want it. Hope you’re happy in your new home!!

This can be removed from the unit and replaced easily and reasonably cheaply by a window fitter when you are ready. I think your idea of eventually raising the curtain pole and extending the length is good, as it would give more light and a better view of your garden when the curtains are open. Enjoy settling in to your new abode 🧶

Moving is very stressful, but you're in now and can start enjoying owning your own home. Usually you are able to swap which way fridge doors open. In your case, if the hinges are on the left accessing the contents would be easier when you are working in the kitchen. I like the shorter curtains in the bedroom. Long curtains would block the heat from the radiator. Structurally it makes no difference where you attach a curtain rail above a window/door. I have a cheese plant (Monstera) like yours and just beware having it near fabrics as the leaves sometimes drip some kind of liquid. It will be fun for you exploring your new area.
