    At my yearly check up I was low on potassium. I’m 70 and have been on keto for 14 months and lost 40 lbs. I don’t eat enough greens so I’m taking a potassium supplement. Get your labs checked periodically. The low potassium was effecting my energy.

    Sweet addiction is so hard to break! I am probably eating too many keto sweets. I've had fun experimenting with different treat recipes and have found a few that I really like. But I need to limit them.

      Yes. I ate a lot when I first got started but now I only have them once in a while. I just don’t desire them much anymore

    New sub here! I hope your thumb is better. I love Keto desserts. It's safe for me to make mug cakes because they're only one serving. If I make a batch of something or a cake...I'm tempted to eat it all. That Tazo tea sounds really good! I might have to try that. Thanks for sharing what you eat in a day; very helpful.     Have you had your cholesterol levels checked since doing Keto? I'm just curious. My cholesterol is bordering "high" according to my doctor. I'm a little worried about it. Also, the black coffee really hurts my stomach. Any suggestions dealing with that?

      I’ve heard that making “cold brew coffee” (I think it comes like a tea bag) then you heat it up. It’s supposed to be less acidic and less bitter

      Total cholesterol is really misleading. It could just be fat in your bloodstream moving from storage (belly etc) to be used as energy. More important is to look at the HDL (good cholesterol) and triglycerides (bad markers for heart disease). If HDL is up and Ts are down, your doctor should be able to tell that you’re on the right track. I’d be shocked if they went in the other direction if you’re really doing keto properly. If your doctor isn’t checking into those and other details and just looks at total cholesterol, it’s time for a new doctor! And maybe to watch some Dr. Ken Berry vids on cholesterol etc. 😊

      I just couldn’t do it and I tried everything so now I just wait until I eat and just have water and seltzer when I fast.

    Do you list the nutrition facts for your recipes? I couldn't find them.

      I only count carbs. I recommend Carb Manager if you want to track other things. It’s an app you can enter your foods in and get all your macros.
