- Often, we are given with situation to fail the pipeline if there are no files of certain wild card pattern. Normally, if we dont have matching files of specific wild card pattern, pipeline will not fail. If our requirement is to check for files and fail the pipeline if no file found, then watch this video!

Don't we have much easier way of checking if file is there or not mam? Using validation activity?
Validation activity just checks for child items. Theres A chance that in the folder other files are present too. So that time validation activity can't help much.
If we're learn azure devops now mandatory for experience? Without experience how we get the job?
You can use FilteredItemsCount tag coming from Filter directly to get the count instead of doing the length() .And How this is helpful because anyway the pipeline fails if it not resolves to any file pattern given in wild card .

Oh yeah, filtered item count can be used Surya!! Will leverage in next video. And, pipeline doesn't fail when no files found
@@thirumalair4152 When I say pipeline , the pipeline doesnot contain something like copy activties and all. For suppose let us think there is a single df activity in a pipeline . And Dataflow activity fails when it doesnot resolve to any file. I understand you if there is any activity like copy ,it will not fail the pipeline. But eventually you need data to go through the Dataflow /Adb activity in real time.
