I related so much to the beginning of this video. I tried EVERYTHING! So much trial, and error. Plus the mental battle with negative thoughts towards yourself everyday really takes a toll on you! Acne is way more than just a physical issue. Love this ❤

I just really want to comment and say that I have been struggling SO long with my skin. I used to think it was horrible but then I reached University and it got worse and I actually missed my skin before. Under the skin bumps and they'd ALWAYS come up before my period and I KNEW it was hormonal but my doctor and dermatologist both brushed me off and said I'd need Accutane. I have spent so many nights staying up until 5AM just researching hormonal issues. Your videos are the first that make sense. I just watched all 3 in one sitting and I cried! I cried because it is so relatable. Because I cut out dairy and wheat and every single thing that "might" cause acne because I have to walk on eggshells with my face and it is ruining my social life and my personal life. Thank you so much for being so honest.

Hey Sarah! Thanks to your advice I went to see a naturopath because NOTHING, not even a strict paleo diet would cure my acne. I'm now 2 weeks or so on this ayurvedic herb mix and my skin is CLEAR! I still so afraid it's going to break out soon because it's too good to be true! I could cry of happiness! The herbs are the most aweful taste ever but it's sooo worth it! Glad I discovered you or I would have never been to a naturopath ! xx

Amber Catlett There is a list of my personalized herb mix. I can give you dosage and ingredients but don't forget the herbs are matched to my personal problems. I have a kind of pcos , high androstendione, normal testosterone, normal estrogen, normal progesterone. I have the same ectomorph figure Sarah has. Consider I am insulin resistent and have a tendency to hypothyroid so there might be something in the mix for those conditions as well but an easy google search should do the trick.

Such a great video Sarah!! I have PCOS too and you really helped me kickstart my diet into paleo-based and for the last few months I have been clear NATURALLY and that was unheard of before. I have been on everything--birth control, antibiotics, topicals and even Accutane. It always came back and it was because of misdiagnosed PCOS. This time last year I would cry to my mom about my skin daily. Ladies: paleo works wonders. I've also found that spearmint tea really clears me up since I am testosterone dominant as well. The best thing I ever did for my skin was get a hormone panel done by a naturopath.

For black heads on my nose I use the biore "warming" cleanser and mix that with a charcoal base cleanser or strip! The combo did wonders for my nose :) another natural way is lemon and baking....soda? let it harden and sit on your nose for a bit then wash it off and BOOM instant results

Thanks for showing me that having a healthy lifestyle is cool. Ive had digestive issues for almost 5 years now that forced me into eating a super clean paleo diet, which I now love! I used to hate it because people thought I was just jumping on the band wagon, and that I wasn't really gluten intolerant, and I felt really alone, but now I don't care what they think and I love my healthy lifestyle because of awesome people like you. Never stop making awesome videos.

Hey Sarah! I can relate to your story 100%. I know exactly what you went through, and it's the worst feeling ever! In my past, I've tried proactive (which worked for a year but came back), every over the counter products, prescription topical products, antibiotics, and Accutane from the dermatologist. I never had the patience w/ the topical products and never liked the fact that it made your skin worse before you saw some good results. Accutane is the last resort that the dermatologist will recommend if nothing works. I've been on it 3 times! They usually say that it takes 2 rounds for it to completely work. I believe it's about 80% chance that it's a permanent fix for clear skin. Well, it worked great for me but came back after a year the first 2 times and got on it for the 3rd time about a couple of years ago. Unless you have really oily skin, it is one of the most miserable feelings ever since it shrinks your oil glands. Since then I haven't broken out as much but would a little bit during my monthly cycle.
Anways, about a year ago I watched a beauty blogger mention some Michael Todd Organics and decided to look into it. You may have seen their products featured in several different magazines as well. Well after purchasing some products, I haven't broken out nor during my monthly cycles. I absolutely love their products because of the natural ingredients that they use to kill bacteria while it hydrates your skin. You would love it! These are a few of the products I use. I've tried other samples and they're all great!

@ Sarahs Day , I absolutely love your videos. Especially the ones about your skin (the care of and hormonal acne). I started taking Vitex bc of one of your videos and with in 4 days my face stopped breaking out with new pimples and started clearing up. I have had acne since I was 10 years old, went on accutane when I was 30 yrs old. My face cleared up and was clear for about 4 yrs. Then slowly started to breakout again. I was heartbroken. Organic whole foods diet since last year June, 6 months ago I decided to get of off birth control pills bc the only reason I was on them was for hormones (tubes are tied). Then 2 months off I really started breaking out. Night sweats went away and I have lost a little more than 60lbs but I knew something was still off bc my skin was still not happy. Vitex and DIM so far have been wonderful! Thank you for what you do... BTW I am drinking your hot chocolate as I watch your video. :-) Delicious!

Thank you for your informative and friendly video. I came across it, as tomorrow I planned to finally give up my natural healing search and go back on the pill, or try antibiotics for my moderate acne, which I believe to be hormonal. I have put this off for a year, and feel like I have tried just about everything (and spent so much in the process). I gave up gluten, dairy, alcohol, tried acupuncture, and loads of skincare. Blue light therapy and so much more! Just last week I visited a herbalist, so I've only just started taking the tincture she gave me. My diet overall is very good. So I don't know what else to try and do. I get cysts that are so red and swollen and painful, and linger for ages. I get them on the side of my face and around my chin/jaw mostly. The only time my skin has been clear since I was 15 was when I took roaccutane, and when I was on Yasmin. but I am also very natural orientated, like you, which is why I have put off that route for so long! I'm 36 and totally fed up with how it affects my confidence. And I really cannot afford many more attempts at clearing it. So... I just don't know where to go and what to do.

I hope you read this lovely lady. About the whole uni thing... I've been there before, many times. I am in my second degree at UOW loving it but took me awhile, I did have some time off when I have 23 to do something completely different (dancing actually in the shire haha). Study and uni will always be there, there is no barrier to study these days. Even if you decide to do a subject here and there online (although I know that would be different with teaching placement). Follow your heart, i often say "you do you". You are your own person and don't let someone else dictate your life for you-- I did that for too many years!
Also, wanted to ask if you could do a contraception vlog perhaps? Ones you have tried and how they have affected your hormones, skin, mood, body, etc.
    I love you

Also, was the saliva test expensive? When you did have hormonal acne how long did you wait to see results (cell turn over in 3 months)? Thank you for making great videos! Very informational.

I broke out so much, and had acne for years, not even on my face but my chest, and my back was really bad. I went on the pill at the end of highschool (for other medical reasons) and I think it helped my skin or my skin has just cleared on its own, Im in college now, but I still break out on my face just a little but its much better. My chest is usually clear but i also still get acne on my back :( At least with teh face i can clean it easier and control the appearance but i hate my backacne. I have naturally very oily skin so I think that is why I still break out. I am eating much healthier than I used to as well. Definitely thankful that my acne is much better but I really want to fix it more, especially the back area and remove scarring without using oils.

Love your channel and all the information you present! one suggestion would be to clearly label any sponsored videos / ads, is this not mandatory like it is for UK/US youtubers?

I started taking omega 3 recently at night which might have helped but I've changed quite a few things in my diet and skincare routine so I don't know what's working if it's the combination but it's working!

I have been getting so many compliments on my skin lately and guess what I've changed the most... stuck to a sezzy diet. Haha. I started upping my game with veggies protein and good fats along with more cinnamon and added turmeric last year because my hubby needs it for his inflammation so I just naturally started using it for myself. So that probably explains my skin change. I've only been using the powder so I need to try using the root! And I guess in need to go get some flax oil lol. Great video as always.

So far I love the vanity planet brush, but I need to know what you used to get rid of acne scars. I have acne and even when it clears up a little, it still looks like I have inflamed acne just cause the scars are so red. But I'm afraid of breaking out more from putting scar stuff on it!

Hey! I love your videos, I'm becoming addicted to smoothies lately and that's all thanks to you! I have a question though, have you ever had a day when you just couldn't get enough food in you? How do you cope with 'binging' the next day? Do you workout more? Or fast or something? I did try eating healthy...
