      @@jvmsports777 greatest of all time. That's my opinion!!! Youngest ever in history to win balon d'or and basically won EVERYTHING as a kid apart from the champions league. That's scary considering the age he did that.

      Yes best ever he could play and dominate any era Messi Neymar Cr7 couldn't do that they would have got serious injuries playing in those times it was harder to score he just made it look easy he's Ronaldinho idol maradona said he is the best he ever saw zidane ibra benzema Cr7 Messi and many more grew up watching him he changed football he would score 50 -60 goals in this time it's easier

      Mbappe's speed and game-breaking remind me of R9 a little. He could carry the load regardless of whose on the squad or structure he could just cut through everything at a given moment.

      Post injury R9 he will be on par. Pré injury R9 however, not a chance in hell. I saw him play live at inter and with Brazil at wc98. He is the best I have ever seen. Not best nr9 just the best period. He didn't have the longevity of Messi and therefore not the stats but the absolute best R9 is better than the absolute best Messi. Now imagine those 2 playing together up front. They would've been a compatible duo.

    At 16 he was compared to Pele from he was young he had knee problems which made harder to shot so he went around the goalie in his first 115 professional games he scored 103 goals before he reached 21 he had 247 goals he never had a prime that got lost at inter youngest ever to win a balon dor at 20 halland has 191 before 21 R9 247

    Maldini, Cannavaro, Nesta all 3 said with R9 we got the feeling om impotence. They didn't have that with Cristiano and messi. Maldini even played against Maradona and said he and R9 are the best he's ever played against.

    R9 the greatest Striker I have seen bar none...BUT the best Goal finisher I have seen , not R9 and its not Messi
    Its Romario, another player who really should be in the Goat conversation, his longevity is 2nd to none, his numbers are insane and he was simply the best finisher I have ever seen. R9, Messi , Maradona , Zidane, Ronaldinho, Pele, are all, better all round players than Romario, but IMO he's a better finisher than all of them.
    However if R9 had not had the injuries I think he would be the absolute goat. For me Maradona is the Goat, but Messi is best dribbler I have ever seen and has the best change of direction I have seen, R10 had the most crazy peak, his 3 years at Barca were like no others, but not the longevity to really be the goat, Zidane, could be, he has the awards, the skill, the longevity, not the goals but he was a midfielder so. CR7 may be the player I have seen with the most perfected Techinique both feet all round attacking play and in his peak possibly the most versatile Forward ever
    I do think Maradona was a better layer than all of them , with the exception of pre injuries R9 (he was still brilliant after the injuries, but he was THAT GUY pre the injuries)

      factsss. Romario is so underrated

    • @tomhiggins9242
      @tomhiggins9242 Рік тому +1

      Shrewd comments, though I disagree with some of your conclusions - Romario is more of a deadly penalty box "poacher". If he was the best goal finisher then his key numbers would atleast indicate that (not that I think pure statistics is the be all of everything). His two seasons at Barcelona produced 39 "official goals". Pre-injury Ronaldo was at almost a goal a game (even with injuries and national duty). Again, for Brazil Ronaldo missed approximately 2+ years of football and his numbers are better than Romario's. As for Goat conversation: Pele, Maradon, Ronaldo never went missing for their countries in the biggest occasions! Messi and Cristiano started to perform for their national teams at the tailend of their careers. Messi faded at the business end of WC2014 though he FINALLY won WC2022.

    Two corrections: number one there were better players in the 90's than now. R9 has more talent than everyone today bar Messi, nobody today could do tricks the way he did other than maybe Neymar.

      That is just not true and you know that very well. Players today are way stronger, fitter, and faster than players even a decade ago. The game has advanced since the 90s. Players also became way more skillfull than they were back in the days. Just compare the number of missed passes from today with the 90s, watching a game from the 90s is awful, as if there were no tactics at all. Today you have tons of fantastic strikers and forwards that break goal record after goal record. R9 was special back in the days because he was the role model for the modern striker, he brought the spectacle back to football during a time of boring defense oriented football ("catenaccio") or stupid "kick and rush". R9 stood out because of his technique and explosiveness who was able to dribble past 2 or even sometimes 3 defenders (rarely seen back in the days). The downside of that was the fact that he was a more selfish player that didn't contribute that much during a 90 minutes game.
