      Awesome. At the last, have you dipped in dipin uv resin? Am I right?

    I loved my Spirograph when I was a kid, who would have thought 40 odd years later I’d be watching a genius make beautiful works of resin art with one! StunNing! ❤

    Well, I don’t have the black scratch off paper, but now I know why I let nostalgia get the best of me and I purchased a Spirograph set a while back. Another great tutorial!

    OMG Spirograph this was my favourite thing as a kid 😁😁. It was what sparked my creative imagination and lifelong journey with art and design

      I honestly thought I would be able to just jump straight into it again but it was so hard! 😂🤣

    • @rynnlemieux5339
      @rynnlemieux5339 20 днів тому +1

      Yes! I got so excited when I saw it. It's easier if you pin down the ring piece. The set should have come with little red, round headed pins to hold that ring in place.

    Thank you for your constant warnings when using resin, when so many do not.
    Thanks to you I now use black gloves and have a lot less problems

    You had me laughing so hard because I find that the only way that I can use the spirograph is not looking too closely, or my brain freezes up trying to figure out what my hand is doing 😂 You are a delight and this is amazing 🙏🏻✨

  • @wendygacsi1907
    @wendygacsi1907 20 днів тому +13

    You need to pin the large outer wheel down
    (that’s what those holes are for)
    and then you don’t have to think about it anymore and your brain will allow you to move forward. The Spirograph’s of days gone by had way more sizes and shapes and were capable of making some amazingly detailed designs. Plus if you buy the scratch paper with the rainbow 🌈 behind rather than the plain white… well…Your ingenuity mixed with your creativity is awesome. Thanks for that and good luck.

    • @daniel..cooper
      @daniel..cooper  19 днів тому +6

      Thanks Wendy, yes but this was just to transfer the black coating, could always just bond the rainbow paper and leave it on 🤩🤩🤩

      Love the one in the bezel. All of the effects are amazing. I loved Spirograph as a kid. But, hated when it would skip a spot. You definitely have to play with it. 😍

    Bless you, Daniel! I knew about Spirographs as a kid, but hadn’t thought of them in years. I’d never even heard of scratch paper. However, I’ve gotten myself and my great son who loves to draw each of them. I got him the rainbow scratch paper. Only you and your creative mind would have put these together and been generous enough to share your idea. You are a treasure.

    Gold Leif glue is a really effective and handy way to adhere powders to *any* surface without adding any resin (and potentially adding weight or surface imperfections, potentially curing it too much to be sticky or not enough and it being gloopy).

    I loved the scratch paper. We made our own. You color the paper first with pretty colors. Then you cover that with black crayon. Scratch the pattern in the black. It would crumble bits of black crayon all over. What a mess. 😆 🤣 😂 mom was a saint. Also, i was the youngest of eight, that made her able tolerate more. Bless her.

    Brilliant pieces, Daniel. When you are using the spirograph, you may find it easier if you use map pins to hold the outer ring in place as it stops it moving, and you can then focus on the inner wheel completely. Loved them all but the dichroic one was out of this world.
