One of the most powerful songs there is for a man. The world expects a man to laugh, and while a man has his heart broken the world expect us to cry. Showing sadness makes the world think a man is weak.
This type of singing will move ANYONE to tears.
Don't be afraid to cry.
Crying means that you are human, and that you have feelings.
Being depressed while having to put on a face for the world to laugh at you. I feel that. I feel like Professional Clowns and us Teachers have a mutual understanding more often than not.
This man was a world class singer and sadly lost to early. Good reaction to a powerful performer sis.
I love his performance
He was 71, he wasn't in the 27 club, 71 isn't a young age.
@@tupac1971ever and still a loss regardless of age you silly human. If that is what you are.
@@tupac1971ever stay in tupac land mate. No idea about life you noddy.
@@calumgordon1512 yeah a loss of life is a loss of life that's true, but it's also true that if a 5 year old dies they had a lot more potential to do stuff if they kept living than a 70+ year old died, take your pills grandpa
Omg, he is perfect
Don't apologize! That's what opera is for!
When he puts the makeup, I just collapsed. So much pain... And the crowd applauses. Of course, it is just a performance of a fictional character, but his look of dread... The clown is crying and the crowd is cheering. He is stunned, refusing to believe. And yet, the show must go on.
A beautiful and true reaction to a beautiful and true piece of art.
No shame in crying: we all do every time we hear/watch this scene. It's as tragic as any scene in opera. I subscribed.
Don't worry about crying, we are crying too. If he made you cry, he did it good, right?
I guess Opera can talk so straight to your heart (if you have one) because is one of the most empathetic forms of art. I am so proud of being part of humanity when I witness such deep emotional reactions to BEAUTY. No need to say sorry for your tears: everyone cries sooner or later while listening to Pavarotti. It just proves that you are really HUMAN 💓
He was the consummate performer. He was a wonderful actor and singer. You could feel what he was feeling. He brought you in and you were transported. We miss him.
I also cried. It was really emotional and really connects with you. Everybody knows how is to put a nice face and you feel like you one to disappear. Thank you for your reaction. Greatings from Lima, Peru.
Luciano Pavarotti the incredible italian tenor!!
Luciano Pavarotti ❤️🇮🇹
This is why I am proud of my family’s heritage.
Our beautiful language for all to hear.
Your facial reaction to the heartbreaking drama in this aria is beautiful.
Very powerful...especially in the context of the opera.
Queen, especially Freddie Mercury, adore this music. They use kind off sample from this in its a hard life song
He was mad about.
The show must go on,
Inside my heart is breaking
My makeup may be flaking
But my smile, still, stays on.... 😢
I`d totally forgotten this piece of music so thanks for reminding me.
To listen to an aria in a live show is one thing (Nessun Dorma w/an orchestra). To actually EXPERIENCE it, in the performance... will make you weep. It grabs your heart and never lets go. Bless your tears ♥
Brilliant! Love Vesti la giubba
This is an awesome aria from the opera " I Pagliacci " from Leoncavallo.
The vocal climax starting at 4:15 is just breath taking and emotionally overwhelming.
If this piece of opera doesn't emotionally move you, you are unfortunately missing an important pleasure in life.
Only the master and legend Pavarotti , could bring it like this.
What a voice , what an actor and what a passion.
The best Lyrical Tenor ever. No doubt about that.
And I am sure that sooner or later, a sensitive soul like mks will appreciate this as well.
iIalian Opera is all about emotion and how real people react in real situations. quintessential verismo opera.
One of the strengths of Opera, one that is mostly forgotten, is that it´s written about relatable stuff, about LIFE. We all cry, because we can relate to it. Some people made Opera look as if it was an "élite thing", but it´s not. It is absolutely about the poor people, also because artists in the past where often poor themselves.
We should all remember this, and that´s a thing I´m grateful for, that in countries like for example Germany or Italy everyone can afford at least going to the Opera once in a while (it´s not expensive at all).
Thanks for not interrupting the video
Love the reaction! - You felt it in your soul and that's what great music does, especially when delivered by the incomparable Luciano - Bravo!!!!
Your reaction is purely beautiful
The great story behind this song is that Luciano plays the clown and Vestia La Giubba means on the the show even though he knows his wife his been cheating on him.. Ridi Pagliacci means everybody laugh at me.even though my heart is breaking. It makes me also cry.
Vesti la Giubba means put on the costume
Vesti la giubba- put on the costume
Ridi pagliacco- laugh clown
Amazing how that second 'Ridi Pagliaccio' gets to you. I always cry; watching you, trebled the flow!!! x
crying for beauty is divine
The MASTER at work ......
Браво МАЭСТРО ЛЮБЛЮ ВАС ЛУЧАНО
Beautiful voice
La tua commozione e pari al l'interpretazione di Pavarotti.🙏🎼
Pavarotti il più grande di sempre❤️
You understand. You totally understand I Pagliacci. That was a beautiful reaction.
If you want to cry a little bit more give a chance to "e lucevan le stelle", no matter how many times I listen it always gives me goosebumps.
Always.
have you heard Di Stefano sing it?
@@stefanrouyer3431 Gosh, what a revelation!
I second this, e lucevan le stelle is my lifelong favorite aria
@@stefanrouyer3431I just listened to the live one where the La Scala audience asked him to repeat it. That one is pretty great
You have GREAT Taste!!! 50 years i been listening to him!!! i was 3 when i asked my mom to play the man for me mommy.
Guagliò , si sentono sotto li parenti tua....statte accuorta . 🤟🏻From Italy. 🍝
Luciano ci manca tanto in Italia,e tu sei davvero sensibile. Ciao,Andrea.
Awesome reaction...tanti saluti dall'Italia...
Love you Gracie - the bits which got you are the same as the ones that get me.
... this is the power of Great Music ... the one with a capital M !!! .... beautiful video congratulations !!!
Walter
The second pronunce is correct. Luciano reachs the deep of our Hearts with his voice. Grazie Marstro and the thanks for your genuine and vero emozional reaction
You are so beautiful and have such a beautiful soul! I cry just like you when I hear this song ❤️
He also makes me cry, such a performance. Great reaction I suscribe you
The GOAT!
Who needs rap music when we have the finest music such as this. Sung by many great tenors over the last 100 years.
As a non-listener of rap music, Rap or rhythimcally accentuated poetry is a totally different form of art. Unfortunately nowadays a huge part of it has been commercialized.
@@Hairysteed Agreed. Rap can be genuinely beautiful, but like most genres nowadays, that's not what you're going to hear via mainstream sources.
Thanks Gracie. I had a brother this song used to moved him and made him cry, sadly he passed in 2006, your video brought back my memories of him
🥺🥺🥺
I'm sorry for your loss
Thanks for this
Best singer and tenor of the world and a very sensual hearing woman.
Mi dispiace contraddirti. Ma per me il migliore di sempre rimane Franco Corelli. ua-cam.com/video/jdfk9KyHe6Q/v-deo.html&ab_channel=IlgruppoDiDocci
Damn. Watching her cry I did too.
You are very sensitive. I love you. Thanks.
Oh yes, the Pavarotti effect: cry.
I think the translation has handled the material pretty well... sometimes it does not pay to be literal, and you have to do some adaptation. Thumbs up from me!!
As for your reaction, I loved it. So emotional it made me shed a tear too. A good feeling!!
Thank u for your reaction..... 😘
I subscribed to your channel it's obvious that you are a speacial person for reacting to this...
I was crying with you baby 🥰🥰
amazing master
Saludos desde Uruguay buena voz no es para cualquiera. ❤❤❤👍✌👌😌
Hiiii
Empathy is wonderful .
Jesus loves that .
Pavarotti brings us to the heights of our souls .
Blessings in His certain Guarantee of unending life John 3:16
By now you've heard him do Nessun Dorma. If not find it quick for a mind blowing experience. Pavarotti is so amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
The even more moving thing is that the inspiration of the opera "i Pagliacci" is taken from a true news story that happened in the composer's country, in Calabria (southern Italy), in fact Leoncavallo's father, a judge, presided as magistrate over the criminal investigation. As an Italian, born in the same region of Pavarotti, I am proud that the Opera is also appreciated by young people and I am touched by your emotion, thank you very much.
A Masterpiece from Ruggiero Leoncavallo beuatifully perform by one of the top 3 Opera Singerso of all time
Great reaction 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽💕💕🎶🎶
Thank you 🙈
You would love opera!
You cry we cry... everybody cry
When you must smile smile smile (like a clown on the stage) but inside you are suffering for love...
You get it 🥺
The translation is a bit off but... it got to you.
I like you, from Italy.
amazing ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥
This piece is taken from a show called I Pagliacci. The show involves a traveling group of performers who have stopped in a little village for a performance.
At this point in the show Canio, a performer, has just discovered that his wife has been unfaithful. He now prepares himself to act in a comedy as the devastation about this news sinks in.
This is Opera: you live it's joy, pain, sorrow, greed, hate, jealousy, you are involved in the story ...... You are involved.
There is nothing wrong with crying hearing this arie
Bless you girl. Try his Che Gelida Manina from La Boheme
There's quite a bit of errors in the translation here...The message comes across but not really in the right way. It should be translated more like if it was a poem, there are some allegories (is that how you spell it?) of course, and some of the italian words (or slang?) cannot be accurately translated cause language barrier, but it still feels a bit wrong. Nevertheless i'm glad more people outside of italy came to appreciate Pavarotti's work
@Marie Whitbread A singer IS an artist, every profession that requires to express one's feelings and emotions can be considered as artistic; By drawing, writing, sculpting, acting AND singing, whatever. And of course people loved and still love his work, his art was his work and his work was his art. Ever heard the expression "a work of art?". Are you trying to be the smart one in the room with your comment? I mean it's not totally wrong but..It isn't totally right either lol
It's not bad, translations don't have to be literal and no transition captures every nuance perfectly. I thought it gave the meaning quite well
The Master
the sad part of this is that such a large part of the population has never experienced this great music. When i was in high school we attended a class called music appreciation and was exposed to this music and i can trace my love of this to that time. Our schools don;t expose students to classics any more to the detriment of society.
Me saco lágrimas🥲
Nose quien actúa más si Pavarotti o esta chica
I may not know the words he is speaking, but I feel the pain he is singing. That is a great singer.that is Opera
Se ha pianto con l’esecuzione di Pavarotti, ascolti quella di Del Monaco o di Masini o di Gigli o di Caruso
This is the story of an "Old days" Clown, someone who is paid for making people laugh and having fun. But at the same this man is feeling bad for love reasons but every night he must wear his clown costume and make people laugh, even though he is dying for his love for a woman.
Actually, Gracie, I found myself touched with exactly the same stuff (at the same moments) as you. We seem to have the same sensitivity. How unusual. Take care.
Tears Is but only another choice of laughter. Us theater clowns need to stick together.
Try this "Luciano Pavarotti sing Caruso subs english"... Kiss from Italy 😊
SAD SAD SAD BY ALL MEANS LIFE IS ABOUT LOVE SADNESS IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE
It's pronounced jubba, and vesti la giubba means, "wear the jacket". It's brutal how men have to pretend they're not dying inside when the woman they love doesn't care, or you feel that you're not enough, even when they like you.
😭😭😭😭
GRACIE!!!!!!!!! You must see!!!!!!!!!! No, Pagliacciao Non Son. Italian and English subtitles, Mata Tosti. This is the closing song of the last act of the opera and you will not believe it! It means No! I am not a clown!
Laugh puppet for love scorned
What makes this more touching, is that this was Leoncavello's only success. Also, the story is true. Leoncavello's father was the magistrate where he lived, and the opera is based on the murder that took place in a travelling circus show, and was a crime of passion.
Listen to John Vickers’ performance of this aria..
I was crying looking at u.
If you had not cried, Pavarotti didn't do his job.
GTA LCS brought me here
You should check out CORE NGRATO sung by Pavarotti. Incredible.
only a stone cold stone heart is immune to the stendahl's that this elicits.
I like that you are open for a dramatic aria and think about the lyrics. Pavarotti loved the life and can also express happiness in his arias. Some more light arias and songs are for example:
