    He is a top level legendary Master.One of a select few the man is a walking yin yang symbol..He spent years in prison persecuted by those ignorant of what a treasure this man was.Wang Peisheng is the very best and I envy those who were able to study with him...

    Yikes! What an authoratative teacher ! Thank you for sharing this. He's qouting taichi proverbs and principles all over the place, and DEMONSTRATING them! Damn impressive instructor.

    The application he shows at 1:18 seems pretty clear, let's see if you agree. 1: he gives up the elbow and pushes to the side with the palm. 2: the opponent resists the pressure, trying to move the body in opposing direction. 3: Wang knows he would resist like this, so he gives a shove on the direction where the opponent was already pushing himself towards to.

    Master Wang Peisheng is no longer with us. Wikipedia says he passed a way in 2004.

    Thanks for the subtitling( I can read chinese ) , it's hard work , he used a lot of classical text from tao te chi , which is hard to translate

    For those know it all & that say it's a bit phony etc.,.. are really ignorant of who Wang Peng Shen was and higher principles of Taijiquan.
    Ignorance stems from one's own limited knowledge and they can only see & understand from a shallow depth of experience & knowledge.
    Until one's knowledge is deep and vast, one should not speak of what is and what is not possible. Having definite opinions limits one's growth to the average level, remain open and the world can share it's secrets with you.

    The sub-title job you managed is very adequate to anyone who knows what's going on. I, like many a foreigner, have trouble following Wang Pei Sheng's accent, but just given some help can get the gist.
    Thanks for the help.

    I you can tell what he's saying at 1:19, 2:23 or any of the other parts where I put up question marks, just post the text here in Chinese and I will change the annotations to match. There's still a few spots where I just couldn't make out what he was saying, never mind translating into English.

    I really don't understand how it works. I used the "annotations" to subtitle it because I don't really know how to create a subtitle track. Feel free to embed my video on your site though.

    Thank you for your work on this most excellent material.
    When downloading it does not download subtitles. Can you do anything about that?

    Agree with your observations 100%. Many think Tai Chi is a dance.

  • @zee1645
    @zee1645 11 років тому +1

    There is no point in arguing with the people who think this is fake or think taichi is only like dancing. Taoism believes have stated them all thousands years ago - the Tao doesnt move away from people, only people move away form the Tao. Don't insult other people because they disagree in what you believe. You would be just behaving in the same way as them.

    What happened to the great subtitles? They're gone now--and that limits the usefulness of this awesome video, sadly.

    • @bailewen

      omar belove Thank you for reply. I love your work-both the videos you post and all the thought and effort you’ve brought to translating some of the key videos. I’m a member of Yin Chang Gong Fa, a Northern Wu style group in Grandmaster Wang Peishing’s lineage and your videos have been a huge help / influence in improving my Tai Chi and very much part of my journey. Full respect and thank you.

    One of the most useful tai chi materials in youtube. I have a question though: what does he mean by double weighting?
    When we don't empty our right side when the left is already emptied (coming from his posture), hence we cannot perform the adequate combat
    power by relaxing? Can anyone tell me what he means by this phrase? Cheers

    • @bailewen
      @bailewen  7 років тому

      Nofarewell fwiw, what you are describing is not double weighting. It's more like the opposite, double empty...

      Subtitles were never removed. They are just not embedded in the video. You need to click the little "captions" icon below the video to turn them on
