      @@matticusmars254 Would love to have some optimism, but, many things haven't worked out for the Jets. Remember Jace Amaro? He was supposed to be a good TE/WR. Didn't work out. Jets picked a WR from Georgia. Couldn't catch the ball. Last QB's Jets drafted, both in the first round, didn't work out. Also, Jets coaching staff may leave something to be desired.

      @@harlanabraham7772 People like you are the exact reason I can't stand interacting with this fan base. EVERYTHING is doom and gloom.
      The guy was targeted and drafted by our front office for a reason. They clearly saw something in him that could benefit our offense.
      You can remain skeptical. I'll be optimistic.

      @@matticusmars254 Everything isn't doom and gloom. However, what has happened over the last ten or so years should raise red flags. When I see that he works out with the Jets I'll be happy. However, Jets have drafted so many players that haven't exactly worked out. And the coaching staff doesn't exactly give me optimism. They aren't close to having a winning season since they came here.

    It cant be overstated how big of an addition he is. Ideally he should be 3-4 (maybe 2) on the team in targets and if he’s only in the 500-700 yard range, that’s going to help this offense a lot. There’s upside for more but luckily we’re set up to where the offense isn’t coming in and needing for him to be a Day 1 savior like some past skill players (Garrett, Breece, MC, etc.)

    Tremendous breakdown!

  • @jackhaber245
    @jackhaber245 29 днів тому +3

    He's going to be a great dump off option. Rodgers is not going to want to hold onto the ball for long and if we want to add extra protection with an RB Malachi is going to running quick outs and short crossing routes. He's got that ability to take those plays from 5 yard gains to 12-15 every time which is a skillset we have been missing for a long time. If he can do that twice a game so it opens up intermediate routes downfield that adds another dimension to this offense.
    JET UP BABY

    i don’t mean to be a downer but i don’t get all the talk about corley being a demon after the catch. i saw some of his highlights and YES he runs towards contact but i didn’t see much film of him “running people over.” i will say he doesn’t go down easily which is a great trait to have! regardless, i think with this offense we just need him to get few yards after each catch and he’ll have a great rookie season.

    I think the keys to the Jets offense will be in the run game. Last year with our QBs lacking , teams stacked the box and limited our chances in the run game . People underestimate how much running helps the offensive line and once established lanes will open up for AR and company. It’s also complimentary for a defensive team to eat up some clock and keep our D fresh . Teams will have to pick their poison, either stack the box or play pass and get burned by a hall of fame quarterback. I’m excited for this season

  • @ArmyLee
    @ArmyLee 29 днів тому +1

    Yes, I agree, the Jets have to build up on a well-developed offense style, and YAC might be the foundation stone with the players that we have.

  • @beefy1728
    @beefy1728 29 днів тому +1

    We'll see what happens come pre-season. The offense may go through the run game but defenses will dread facing off against Corley in November and December. It's going to hurt! Especially with that other hard-hitting running back they picked up this year in the draft.
    It'll be interesting if the offensive line holds up in the passing game.

    Lizard is going to be a huge factor in yards after the catch….
    Now it is not because of any of his catching abilities… no sir, it is because he is one of the best blockers as a wide receiver in the league. I watched him ball out for years in that aspect. Now they definitely shouldn’t be paying him what they are but that ship has sailed but he should be out there blocking his ass off for the rest of them boys.

    Hope that he is the exception to the rule.. and maybe he is but simple fact is that rookie WRs tend not to contribute much in the first year when they are not strong route runners.. And what is the MO on him? Great after the catch but not a strong route runner.
