I bought two new hoop shoes this year, the Zion 3 and the EQLZ 247. I have zero issues with the Zion 3, and I love playing in them as they fit my foot perfectly. But then the EQLZ 247 came and I already love them more than the Zion 3. They give so much bang for the buck, and with its use of leather it lends itself well to casual use. They’re very comfy, traction is great, support is great, materials are great, everything about it is great. Even as a quicker and smaller player, I love playing in the more maximalist EQLZ 247.
@snkrtechtalk6005 ooh ok didnt know that, for us in u.s.a they don't even charge for shipping, but u gotta try the wow 10 and 11,they are the best shoes I have ever played ball in and I been balling since the mid 90s so seen it all,but the wow 10s for me r a little better cause u feel the bounce more
I’d put Spo as a brand at # 1 as all the models are interchangeable but carry most of the same principles. All have A1 traction, interchangeable cushion and great fit and lockdown due to lacing and no heel slip.
Bro, the disrespect on the Anta Kai’s is legit foul and nasty work... Why was the Anta Kai Speed displayed over the actual Anta Kai 1? They are different shoes and it’s always been clear the Anta Kai 1 is considerably better than the Speed. To me, sneakers of the year come down to EQLZ247 & Anta Kai 1
It’s an honorable mention. Meaning it’s still good but he just prefers other shoes. He didn’t shit on them, he said they’re good but not for him. It’s called an opinion and personal preference.

@ word! Def need to try them. The wow 10 is $320 Canadian plus $90 for duties. Horrid
Hoping to see the 361 degrees releases too.

The Joker 1
The AG5

Great list, Steve!
cant believe the SPO Easy 1 made the list and the Lebron 22s didnt (I still hate the design on the 22s haha)
