The Best ZMan DieZel Minnowz Rig - Snakelockz for Mangrove Jack

- If you're wanting to skip cast a Zman soft plastic on a TT Snakelockz jig head, then this little adjustment can help you get more out of your lure, so it's able to skip better and look more realistic.
The more common rigging used with a SnakelockZ is a super effective option especially for sitting in sand and mud whilst chasing fish like Flathead and Bass. This style of moving the plastic closer to the jig head has made a difference for me. They’re awesome for the Jacks Brooke ;) and good to have one at the ready to throw at those pontoons running ropes down to crab pots etc.
This colour worked for me this morning on the jacks as well as a trevally and a decent flatty. Baby bass, pearl, houdini all ignored until the red came out then.... WWWHHHAMMY

Another great video mate. I use the snakelockz but I love the idea you use of pulling it up further to get rid of the gap. I will be trying it next time I get out👌

This is the same as a texas rig for bass I use this for flatty aswell I use weights and bobberstoppers and worm hook this way I keep 1 siloette as u said cause I don't get that wire bit give it a go there expensive too maby I'm just cheap lol

I use the exact same rig mate, got a 48cm Jack on Wednesday a week or so ago and then a 49cm 2 days later. The 48cm was my first Jack....now I'm addicted!🐟🤙

Another top video John. When using any z man, I stop them from sliding back with a drop of flexible or shock resistant super glue on between the lead and and the plastic. Works a treat and save having to fix them up when the bite is hot.

Always on point mate, just got back from up north I ran the Zman 3" minnows with the Savage prawn hook like you suggest with the RT shad, worked a treat, keep up the awesome work mate, always gets me frothing

Hey John a little tip I was given by a mate once told me about putting a tiny dab of good quick grip glue on the jig or hook to stop a lot of pantsing.

thats a great tip mate, thanks for sharing. Recently been thinking if the weight being so far in front of the hook would look unnatural to a jack, seem like you have had the same thought and you came up with solution. Loving all the jack videos your putting out at the moment.

If you have trouble with the plastics moving back pin it wth a tooth pick down through the eye of the hook or across in clip in front of hook eye tight up against the clip

I used calico candy colour with the snake locks on my last trip to hinchinbrook channel geat lure for tight cover for sure

Definitely going to try this ..... good tip! Been trying the skip casting but I am on a kayak and can’t stand up ( stealth kayak for offshore) is it still possible to skip cast sitting so low to water? Find I am slamming into water too soon. Watched your skipping videos but most of them you are higher up than I am..... still think it’s possible to do low on water??!
Harder I think from lower but still doable. A spinning outfit makes it easier from down there I reckon

Those slim swims are so small it’s a tough ask I reckon. I try to fish them as freely as possible. Maybe the conventional way is best.
