***** iphone 6 is better I don't want no thick phone God damn even my s3 is thinner than that piece of shit. THE HTC ONE m8 is the most ugliest phone I have ever seen
Blah blah blah blah. Stop making excuses! Your most revered company is guilty of a design flaw on one of its superficial swanky products. Deal with it! 😎😎😎😎
I definitely remember you from somewhere. Not you profile picture I know it's from dota but I remember we used to talk in the comment sections of like purge videos.
Another great video! What I don't get is why Fan Boys get so defensive over an obvious flaw of a product :-/ I mean they out of all people should be the most concerned, after all they've paid good money for it!
I like Apple just as much as the next guy, I have the 6 and yes I will admit it can bend in your pocket and that is a huge design flaw. If it was no thinner than the iPhone 5s I would be alright with that if it meant a more solid phone and a camera that is flush with the body. I'm thinking apple just shaved that bit off just to make it look more impressive. My suggestion is get an otterbox or some kind of durable non-flexible case and you should be good as long as you don't intentionally start bending the thing.
From an engineering point of view, Apple really should have gone for a slightly curved back, this would have added an immense amount of sturdiness to the whole frame of the phone in a lateral sense along the length, where it's needed, as large phones aren't really subject to bending width-ways. A large flat expanse of thin aluminium used as a frame, such as on the iPhone 6+, was a REALLY BAD IDEA.
Of course. Or maybe put a small bead around the perimeter. Using flat aluminum is just stupid. It's ridiculously weak. And I'm saying that as an iPhone (5) user.
Actually Not starving they're sick cause a symptons is spreading all over africa called Ebola the death rate is 90 percent but only 60 percent died with the symptons So Doctor all over the world Is Raising money to give things on africa
I'm stuck of the Apple fanboys saying "who the hell bends their phone this doesn't mean anything" well it does. It is a design flaw and you can't deny it. Its not about who bends their phone, that's completely irrelevant. The point is that Apple fucked up hard on this phone. They lost 26 billion dollars because of issues with iOS and Mac security flaws recently. Face it iSheep, no matter how much you deny it with your meaningless counter arguments it's obvious that Apple is shit now, since Steve Jobs died. Rant over. Like if you agree!
Ha 2 likes, go cry to your mom android 10 year old. It's a design flaw, doesn't mean it's crap. They fix the problem for current owners, tweak the design for re release, good to go. If you think a design flaw makes something crap, then you would be hating android even more than apple.
An apple fanboy myself and very disappointed with this design flaw. This type of flaw for the kind of money they charge is completely unacceptable. I think they should just stop manufacturing the iPhone 6 plus before its too late. They say only 6 customers in total have reported bending but it will be far more than that in the upcoming month. Also with this news spreading, the number of people buying the 6 plus will significantly fall. I have an iPhone 5 and I'm considering buying a Moto G or Moto X.
The iPhone 6 plus tends to bend near the volume button. Apple need to reinforce it some how in that area. I also think that once Apple have found a fix then all iPhone 6 Plus owners should be allowed to swap their handset for a new one at the Apple store.
Most phones, especially larger ones will bend under pressure, but that's not an issue. The reason this and issue with Iphone is because the bending is visible and it stays like that. This might lead some people to try to bend it back and this back and forth bending is very bad for the screen and other components. Shame on Apple, their engineers should have picked up on this obvious flaw.
Yes. Totally correct. And afterwards of this thing blowing up they just implied that 6+ owners should use a case to add more strength to it. = spend more money on a shitty phone to cover the design which is the only selling point with these devices. IMO their competitors have better design by now.
I agree with that smarphones in general shouldn't be worn in pockets anymore, it's not your Nokia or Motorola, no these are all very fragile compared to those. You can't leave them in your pocket while washing either and they are sensitive for scratches, dropping and water (with a lot of exceptions ofcourse) However as an iphone user I agree that this is simply a big flaw, fail in fact. And I'm also happy that I'm always a generation behind so I'm aware of all the bugs and complications and I will definitly skip this one.
Of course! Cell phones were designed to be put in a protective case! That is, if you're trying to sell protective cases. . . Apple really is an accessory seller.
This is my first video I've ever watched by you and wanted to ask, what lighting do yo use for your video here, it is beautiful! Secondly, what type of desk/table is that? I'd like to buy one.
Thanks a lot for this tests, Lou. This shuts the mouth of everyone moaning about all the "if it's aluminum it's obvious it's gonna bend unlike that plastic in the Note 3" crap. The iPhone 6 Plus is just BAD. Get over it, people. They didn't test this. They didn't prepare for this. It's crap and it should be revised. Not even the iPhone 6 is that bad.
Lol like how your making conclusions, maybe if you had a tiny bit of research you would have known that the other phones have reinforced frame with some other material ( forgot the name ), so they are not 100%aluminum therefore cannot be compared to the other phones. But Apple did make a mistake by not reinforcing it but it would loose some of its thinness .
It's a much better idea to do a bend test before all the hype has boiled down, that way you get more views, if you leave it for a week before doing another others will do it before you.
Why are people so surprised that the iPhone 6 Plus bends so easily? It's MUCH thinner than the Galaxy S5, which by the way, bent a LOT more than the iPhone 6 Plus. The only reason the iPhone held the bends is it's made of aluminum, a very lightweight, highly malleable metal. The S5 bent back because it's made of plastic. honestly, I don't understand why people are so shocked...
Because it demonstrates that using plastics might be a better material for phones than aluminum considering how phones are generally used. Like carrying them in your pants pockets. But it also points to a further issue that the aluminum that Apple is using might be inferior to the aluminum that other companies like HTC are using. You realize that there are different grades of aluminum quality. It would be interesting to find out what grade of aluminum Apple is using compared to HTC.
Plastic, in my honest opinion, makes a phone feel cheap and disposable. Aluminum provides a much more premium feel than plastic. And if you were watching, the HTC did bend quite a bit, it just happened to bend back, probably caused by the shape of the device itself, with its convex backing. In addition, the iPhone 6 really didn't bend much at all. The bend he was able to create was barely visible, especially when compared to that of the iPhone 6 Plus. I stand my ground that the bending in the 6 Plus is caused by the extremely thin and large form factor of the phone.
theexmann I doubt that Apple is using inferior aluminum. The two factors are probably the placement of hardware inside the phone, and how thin the phone is.
Paul Driftmier Yeah, but in all fairness, the HTC is much larger than the iPhone 6, just as the 6 Plus is much bigger than the 6, so you really can't compare them. At least it looks like HTC tested the phone and made up for it by adding convex shaping to it, and it DID pop back. The Moto X is the clear winner and hands down the most durable phone in the market, even over my S5, BUT, if you mix features with durability, I choose the S5, and the iP 6 Plus is the loser. The iP 6 isn't a bad choice either if you don't mind a closed platform and lack of freedom.
Motorola actually uses concrete as a phone building material. My mom used to own a droid x, then had a droid 4. Both were solid pieces of hardware that took years of wear and abuse. Good to know they still build solid products.
Lol There was a Apple fan that said HTC was copying apples design. I think you have it the wrong way around. HTC one where launched like 1.5 might be 2.5 years before iPhone 6 and the m8 6 months before iPhone 6 so that's the facts. Plz fan people get your facts straight. Many iPhone user think's that it is sad to see Apple made a android design (iPhone 6). At least that's what I have been reading on different forums.
But interesting how HTC used an inline antenna design after the iPhone 4 and 5 two year before and 6 months before, respectively. Look at all of the phones with similar antenna designs. And if you're going to say that the HTC One has a strip that goes across the back, okay, well the iPhone 6's antenna loops across the top and the bottom of the phone.
Matthew Gonzales I wouldnt call it copying. They just figured out the optimal way to implement something. If it was like so, maybe HTC copyed Nokia by having a screen on the phone, or Sony with the Z2 copied HTC vith the front facing speakers, or samsung with the waterproofness... You just cant throw this kind of stuff out there.
Mark Würtzen Hi I'm a iPhone 4 user (yes, i got the iphone because there was a time were the iphone was good). I don't even own a Android device, and i am about to switch. I am the ONLYONE i know who actually isn't a iPhone fan that owns a iphone. Apple makes 4x the cash out their phones then Samsung and HTC. ( LG is KING )
It's phrased correctly isn't it? If htc has the same design as iPhone 6 (turn it around) which would meant htc copied iPhone so iPhone has the same design as htc is phrased correct.
The iPhone 6 Plus bends so easily, because it doesn't have a more sturdy magnesium-chassis under the Aluminium. Most other Aluminium phones have that ;)
Yea, people are mistaking the material of the finish (plastic, aliminiun, glass) with the chassis. That is the part who add the structural integrity, the chassis.
1. If you don't sit in tight position your fine 2. Avoid tight clothing 3. If your a girl who carries a purse daily, not a concern 4. Every other phone in this video is a fucking brick of course its going to be fine
A girl came in looking for a case for the standard iPhone 6 case because she had just left the apple store with a new replaced iPhone 6 since she bent it in her pocket. So yes the iPhone 6 standard sized is bendable.
Lol, yeah, real premium, real build quality, HTC and Apple fanboys. You saw these "cheap plastic" phones (including the Galaxy Note 3) hold their own. Thank fuck this just proves my point. Now all of these HTC and Apple fanboys can shut up and pay homage to my nuts. Build quality is build quality; not in-hand feel.
***** Shut'cho ass up, please. Nobody's talking about being superior because of a phone I bought. What the fuck is wrong with your brain, if you even *have* one to begin with? My argument this whole time was aluminum not equaling to build quality -- a common misconception being aluminum automatically meaning build quality -- and my point has just been proven valid with just these two videos Lew made with the five phones here, and the Galaxy Note 3 bend test. Why would I act superior because of a fucking phone? You make no sense.
#scamgate Lou from Unbox Therapy bends iPhone 6 plus off camera to weaken it, then demolishes on camera. Does the iPhone 6 Plus bend? CNN tests., The Official iPhone 6 Plus Bend Test ouch.
It's about the way the metal is folded, at the edges, and then the volume rockers Where the metal has to be notched out for the volume. Is the week point and the flat back , now The way the m8 is curved at the back is what gives it strength. It is simply enough to understand.
Flagships such as galaxy s5 or note 4, lg g3, and the one m8 just look at all the details and features to find which one suits your needs and preferences. I personally have a g3 and love it, but the battery life could be better.
Wait for the Nexus 6, the wait is worth it! It's coming out at the end of next month! Made by Google, gets updates for Android right as they're released, really slick and fast! :)
Jake.EZ Nexus 6 won't be better than the moto x. It might be slightly cheaper, but with the moto x education deal right now, it's maybe 50-100 more than nexus 6 will be. nexus 6 won't have a better battery or camera compared to moto x.
I always carry my phone in my shirt breast pocket. I do it now with my HTC and I did before with my Note II. Nothing wrong with iPhone 6 plus besides I haven't got an iPhone since iPhone 4, time to switch back.
That Moto X is like a fed Bristleback.Very good engineering. Also thanks for the video,I was going to buy a regular iPhone6 and people were just saying ''it bends even in pocket''
The iPhone 6 is by far the thinnest device there, any logical person would realised it would bend under pressure. The rounded edges really don't help with that either. Having edges like the iPhone 5 would have helped it a lot. Get a case with flat edges and that should make the phone a hell of a lot sturdier. Alternatively, use your head and don't sit with your phone in your back pocket, whoever does that shouldn't be surprised when their iPhone starts to look more like an LG G Flex.
I'm so tired of this type of comment and it's only been a day. The reports of the 6 Plus bending are from people who had the phone in their front pocket, it bends into the shape of their thigh. And why pay all that money for a device praised for it's beautiful design when you have to cover it in a plastic case? Don't Apple fanboys always say that plastic phones are ugly?
Well, he gets more money from bending these phones than he payed for them. If you think about it, his iPhone 6+ bend test has about 20 million views already. It means that about 19 million people who don't know him just met him and some of them subscribed to see more crazy things like this which increases his money in a long run.
He didn't break anything. Every phone still works fine. Anymore tards say he "broke" them should take a moment to think before you type. If I was to drop my phone and dent the corner, is it Broken, or damaged? Lew *Damaged* the iPhone but with the moto x he attempted to damage. NOTHING BROKE. I'm reposting this as a solo comment so future mouthbreathers will hold their tongues
+TomParish he's not saying it's bad he's just saying that it's thinner than the others so it will bend easier, and that it has actually done a good job as it's so thin.
Like MKBHD said already. I would rather have a phone that is a little bit thicker that would give better battery and the camera wouldn't stick out that much. Also the bending problem wouldn've happened then. Or at least not that much I guess.
_To all those who keep insisting on the Consumer Reports tests._ CR tests were horribly misleading. *The reason the iPhone 6+ bends under heavy pressure is because of a weakness under the volume buttons. However CR only tested it by applying direct force in the center only*. This doesn't mean the 6+ is flawed by design though, The "9 units reported" were defective units, they don't represent the 10 million units sold. It's natural for a aluminum phone without a internal metal frame to bend under *heavy pressure* but not under regular pocket use. The media has hyped this up to all hell just like Antennagate, 4 years ago. Without facts or knowledge.
Go Moto X! I have the first one and have played around with the new one. I've talked friends into getting rid of their Galaxies and their iPhones for such a great device.
I'm sure those other phones were more rigid but dude this was very poorly done, first you put all your strength on the iPhone 6, then on the Android phones you got fatigued and only spent a fraction of the time trying to bend them then you did with the iPhone 6. And the iPhone 6 Plus you spent the whole video trying to bend it unlike these phones
Well, when you hold something in your hand you can pretty much tell if you can bend it or not with a little pressure. for example if i give you a brick you won't spent all your energy trying to bend it since you know you can't.
Erm not a fan of the massive bigger iPhones but aren't they thinner than the competition? Design flaw maybe but not unexpected in such a thin device...
Bend on Iphone 6 Plus is because the position of buttons/holes at the same level axis on both sides. That design flaw make weak the structure if any force is apply there. Can be solved only by repositioning those buttons.
You can't be applying the same amount of pressure on all devices because you are bound to get fatigued. You should perform this test with some kind of pressure measurement because it's not accurate. I also noticed you spent more time trying to bend the iPhone than the others, lol
This whole phone bending stuff is the shittest thing ever First people want thin phones. Of course they bend! But only if you try actually to bend it. Who is so stupid that bends his own phone??
Since when have people been wanting thin phones. Ever since the smartphone concept emerged, people wanted thicker phones to put larger batteries in them, because the run dry so quickly
Well think of it this way: by trying to bend it, you put the same amount of work into the phone in a short period of time as having it in your pocket for an extended period of time, of course the separation of the panel might be unlikely, yet the possibility of bending is still there, just over a longer time frame.
dude Cx first of all the other phones didnt bend 2nd of all, the iphone even bends when you put it in your pocket i mean, thats bullshit because people is paying a lot of money for a freaking phone that bends with almost no force??
Okay, the main reason why the iPhone 6 plus would bend is because it's 7.1 mm thick and made of Aluminum. These other phones that were tested are either aluminum or plastic, but they are much thicker than the iPhone 6/6 plus. And also, of course a phone as thin as the 6/6plus will bend if you try to bend them.
You should get the HTC one max if you want a stylish phablet though! Has similar or even better looks then the 6+ (but thats a bit of a subjective thing), better audio, screen, options and performance.
My 4S is very durable as was my 3GS, I think after iPhone 5 there started to be way more problems will Apple's products. My boyfriends iPhone 5 has a battery problem, it'll die when it says it has 15% left or suddenly jump to 10% less, I think many other people have this problem too.
***** so you mean when Steve Jobs himself said that 3.5 inch screen is prefect size and also said in 2010 that no one would want to buy a phone with a big screen, that in fact he had a plan for big screen phone? makes no sense....
dude the iPhone 5 and 5s are the most durable phones ever built i swear. I don't have case at all for my 5 and dropped it so many damn times. the screen has ZERO scratches on it. a few scratches on t he metal edges but this only happened after years of banging on the floor of my car and sides of the doors haha
Is there a way to show us how much force you are applying to bend every phone, so that way we know they are bend equally?! please reply or like this so he can see this comment. thanks!
The bending shouldn't even be an issue just use a fucking case with any phone that has a glass screen you should be using a case. This really shouldn't be an issue
The Galaxy Note 3 was the better one to test, because it's the bigger device. Look at the iPhone 6 Plus vs. the regular iPhone 6. The regular iPhone 6 was able to withstand the test, while its larger counterpart failed. If the larger Galaxy Note 3 was already able to withstand the test, there's no point in testing the smaller Galaxy S5. The way I see it is, the smaller the device, the lesser it's prone to bending.
Flamster Well whoopdi doo, everything probably breaks if an elephant sits on the top of it, and most phones don't bend unless you intentionally bend it with the power of 3000 pairs of skinny jeans.
Honestly it probably wouldn't break if u saw the bigger note 3's bend test. Bigger usually means easier to bend and Note 3 didn't bend so you can already predict the outcome
Which ironically makes the phone thicker. Apple should have just make the case thicker to begin with and that would also solve the issue with the protruding camera lens. It's so retarded that you would have to put a case on it. So then what's the point of making it look good in aluminum and thin if you have to cover it up with a case? So in the end your phone is fatter and uglier anyway and you're paying top dollar for that. Pathetic!
Eli Musgrove 299$ per year the hell you smoking man LOL if apple ever sold their phonjes that cheap theyd be pissed the complete price of an iphone 6 is around 700$ so I dont even know what youre smoking man
Thin phones are fine, you just can't make it out of one piece of aluminium, the HTC one m8, yes it's thicker, has multiple pieces of aluminium, and a magnesium chassis.
idk a few days ago when people were complaining that their iphones were bending? and real tests are also durability tests on the entire phone not just the seeing if the screen cracks.
Breaking? UA-cam should remove the comment section completely. It just full of idiots, trolls, and people who *Don't even watch the video before they comment*.
This settles it.

Since the others clearly didn't bend, this is now evidently an iPhone 6 Plus design flaw.
I like Apple just as much as the next guy, I have the 6 and yes I will admit it can bend in your pocket and that is a huge design flaw. If it was no thinner than the iPhone 5s I would be alright with that if it meant a more solid phone and a camera that is flush with the body. SuperSaf TV i agree with that your saying. I was talking to my girlfriend on being cautious with her new and shiny iPhone 6.

LOL.. Yeah, people, get an otterbox for your iPhone.

shut your face! Android does not design phones you fucktard
EpicMILFTime but do they have an OS that runs on phones? yes they do. therefore they are android phones.
Most of those phones aren't as slim as the i6, also most of 'm have a slightly curved backplate which makes them way stronger.
Correct! and for being so thin and made of aluminum, I'd say iPhone 6 is pretty solid in this test.
That's the point, Apple made the phone too thin and didn't reinforce it well enough.
zubilitic not really because it bent.
The iPhone 6 plus tends to bend near the volume button. Apple need to reinforce it some how in that area.
I also think that once Apple have found a fix then all iPhone 6 Plus owners should be allowed to swap their handset for a new one at the Apple store.
I don't think they would just swap. Thats alot of phones to swap and alot of money. There'll probably be a small price or something.
If try to bend Nokia.. You gonna broke your hands 😂

I agree with that smarphones in general shouldn't be worn in pockets anymore, it's not your Nokia or Motorola, no these are all very fragile compared to those. What a cool surprise to see MrRepzion here, just thought I'd say your videos are amazing.
But Apple did make a mistake by not reinforcing it but it would loose some of its thinness .
who would dislike something as informative as this ?
You should start a new channel called "Will it bend"
just read that in the blendtec dudes voice and cheesy smile
After the success from the iPhone 6 bending video, seems like every video Unbox Therapy now release are bending tests...
It's only been 1 day man..
It's only been 1 day man..
It's a much better idea to do a bend test before all the hype has boiled down, that way you get more views, if you leave it for a week before doing another others will do it before you.
***** Or someone will beat you to it.
Next it will be 'Bend my Penis' test..
Paul Driftmier so much thinner? a whole freaking mm are you serious? hahah
Motorola actually uses concrete as a phone building material. My mom used to own a droid x, then had a droid 4. Both were solid pieces of hardware that took years of wear and abuse. Good to know they still build solid products.
any engineer knows that the phones with curved backs will be much more rigid.
I'm not even an engineer and I knew that 😂😂😂
the LG G Flex has a curved back.... but still it bends... :P
Any person with a brain knows that -_-
elton69 OK guess i should have also said "relative to other phones with similar materials"
babs beaver haha i'm just joking I know what you mean't, I've seen to many serious comments so I joked on yours :D
Hmm nahh I not gonna make big comment on your post. You are just trying to defend apple. I am fedd up with Apple fans. Not that I wanna diss.
I'm pretty sure Apple and HTC have a contract so they can use each other's designs
Why buy iWatch? when you can bend iPhone6 around your wrist.
Best comment ever xD
ibend as an watch
Lol
awwwSNAPS! crap - there goes my iphone6p
I AM NOT AN APPLE HATER!! I HAVE A IPHONE 6 PLUS, IT IS JUST A FUNNY COMMENT.
Starving children could've eaten those phones!
LMAO
They still can.....
Why don't you stick your head in a blender and feed that to the kids.
BLank-San Someone's awfully salty! Maybe the starving kids would enjoy eating you!
Oh god... -_-
BEND ALL OF THE THINGS!!
Will it bend? IPhone 7
nice to see you hudson :,D
WOWOWOWOWOW. Stop right there... iPhone 6 has the same design of the M8... HTC did it first... since the FIRST HTC One...
It's phrased correctly isn't it? If htc has the same design as iPhone 6 (turn it around) which would meant htc copied iPhone so iPhone has the same design as htc is phrased correct.
Juztin Payne talking about m8 and saying "very similar in design to the iphone 6" it's like saying that m8 looks like iphone 6, when it's the opposite
the first HTC one was plastic
newsynthetic the first HTC one was already aluminum, get your facts straight
iPhone 2g is aluminum 2007 phone
The iPhone 6 Plus bends so easily, because it doesn't have a more sturdy magnesium-chassis under the Aluminium. Most other Aluminium phones have that ;)
Yea, people are mistaking the material of the finish (plastic, aliminiun, glass) with the chassis. That is the part who add the structural integrity, the chassis.
Good old nokia quality
News flash! Things actually bend if you try to bend it!
Please watch the video and then comment, okay.
Please watch the video and then comment, okay.
Except the moto x
Watch at 7;00 because it sounds like he's talking about you lol
Nokia, Moto X and HTC didn't.
1. If you don't sit in tight position your fine
2. Avoid tight clothing
3. If your a girl who carries a purse daily, not a concern
4. Every other phone in this video is a fucking brick of course its going to be fine
One day latter "The Crack was my finger" xD
A girl came in looking for a case for the standard iPhone 6 case because she had just left the apple store with a new replaced iPhone 6 since she bent it in her pocket. So yes the iPhone 6 standard sized is bendable.
The crack we heard from the Nokia was from his thumb. Yes, Nokia broke it.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Bend the Nokia 3310
good one...lol
5:08-5:30, just close your eyes and let your mind wander....
hahahaha LOL
Haha😝😝
Lol, yeah, real premium, real build quality, HTC and Apple fanboys. You saw these "cheap plastic" phones (including the Galaxy Note 3) hold their own. Thank fuck this just proves my point. Now all of these HTC and Apple fanboys can shut up and pay homage to my nuts. Build quality is build quality; not in-hand feel.
Exactly. I'm getting one, too, either tomorrow, or next week. I'm way too excited. Lmfao.
Marco Melendres Lol! I won't. ;D
#scamgate Lou from Unbox Therapy bends iPhone 6 plus off camera to weaken it, then demolishes on camera.
Does the iPhone 6 Plus bend? CNN tests., The Official iPhone 6 Plus Bend Test ouch.
Funny because the iPhone 5s did just as well as those "cheap plastic phones" and it's also made of aluminum.
It's about the way the metal is folded, at the edges, and then the volume rockers Where the metal has to be notched out for the volume. Is the week point and the flat back , now The way the m8 is curved at the back is what gives it strength. It is simply enough to understand.
Switching from iPhone to Android. What are some good androids? Thinking about getting the HTC One M8.
Flagships such as galaxy s5 or note 4, lg g3, and the one m8 just look at all the details and features to find which one suits your needs and preferences. I personally have a g3 and love it, but the battery life could be better.
new moto x, can't beat pure android.
Wait for the nexus 6, or what ever it will be called. Don't just rush and get the new Moto X unless you are desperate.
I am not trying to question your abilities but you should have someone like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson perform these tests.
can you smell what the rock is cooking?
bent metal and broken glass.
becareful not to fart by forcing like that
hehe
shut up
+Jon H loll
😂😂😂😂😂
+Ilham Mansoor Hhaahahahahahahha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That Moto X color is really nice. Reminds me of black lumia 925 color scheme. Low key yet elegant.
so lesson of the day is the 6 is good but fuck the plus.
Nope - Consumer Reports states the iPhone 6 Plus takes 20lbs more force than the iPhone 6. 90-lbs versus 70 pounds of force before deformation.
Lesson was not to buy Apple products.
NoobInGame Why not the iphone? Best bang for your buck
americayeagermeister Based on what?
Lesson of the day, **MOST** android have better built qualities than the iphone family devices
I still want the iPhone 6 plus :(
Same :/
don't be stupid.
I want the extra features of the 6+ to be in the 6
I always carry my phone in my shirt breast pocket. I do it now with my HTC and I did before with my Note II. Nothing wrong with iPhone 6 plus besides I haven't got an iPhone since iPhone 4, time to switch back.
Snotz Why do people want iphones?
Will something bend if you bend it? Probably yes. Mystery solved.
Courtney Barbie Nokia Lumia 1520.
That Moto X is like a fed Bristleback.Very good engineering. Also thanks for the video,I was going to buy a regular iPhone6 and people were just saying ''it bends even in pocket''
You're kinda milking it...
You have to do a demonstration at least 40 times before an apple fanboy will believe it.
If people enjoy it, which I do, I wouldn't call it milking.
His video was on the news everywhere.. Its not more than normal that he tries to compare all phones now.
People wanted him to test some of these phones. He even got a few other phones to get them out of the way.
Blame the apple fanboys who demand every phone going back to the 2033 get bent.
Apple didn't reconsider their design. They're new to the phablet game.
Big Mo I agree with you, that thinness with rounded edges, not a good combination.
You spent more time bending the 6 compared to the rest
No he didn't, and he even did it twice with the Moto X and using way more force
He bent the Moto X and HTC One M8 twice, did you even watch the video.
because it actually bent
Xander Houff maybe we should bend you some more then, considering you're actually bent
ohTetro lol what?
Glad to see the M8 is durable, plan to pick one up. :D
Who the hell pays to you to brake phones like this? There are people who dream to have one of these...
UA-cam pays him, that's who.
Well, he gets more money from bending these phones than he payed for them. If you think about it, his iPhone 6+ bend test has about 20 million views already. It means that about 19 million people who don't know him just met him and some of them subscribed to see more crazy things like this which increases his money in a long run.
he gets like 50p per thousand views or some shit... So he ends up earning more then he spent
Wergrun 6+ broke when he tried to bend it back
Those phone are way thicker than the 6 and 6 plus though
And that is not necessarily a bad thing, if they don't bend. Would you rather have a super thin bent phone, or a slightly thicker flat phone.
+TomParish he's not saying it's bad he's just saying that it's thinner than the others so it will bend easier, and that it has actually done a good job as it's so thin.
Toby McMillan Exactly. Of course the thicker ones aren't gonna bend as easily as thin ones.
Like MKBHD said already.
I would rather have a phone that is a little bit thicker that would give better battery and the camera wouldn't stick out that much.
Also the bending problem wouldn've happened then. Or at least not that much I guess.
And that's another reason why iphone 6 sucks
Jesus Christ where do you get all these phones....
He made over ten thousand dollars on his first iphone 6+ bend test since it went viral
UA-cam money
Thanx guys
Money
He gets some from the companies
_To all those who keep insisting on the Consumer Reports tests._
CR tests were horribly misleading.
Without facts or knowledge.
you should have put them in your back pocket and sat down. That would be a more accurate bend test
True
ThePursuitOfDango - or put it in the back pocket and sit on the edge of the seat
IPhone 6 vs Nokia 3310
you know who will win XD
yeah cool thing
yeah old school vs crap
old scool man
*school
YOLO yeah you are right
In 9:15 I expected to hear a fart sound
Go Moto X! I have the first one and have played around with the new one. I've talked friends into getting rid of their Galaxies and their iPhones for such a great device.
test samsung galaxy s5
***** Fancy meeting you here
When i try to do it witch my samsung galaxy s4 and I am only using a little bit force it makes a lot of noise
Scary moment 😢
I'm sure those other phones were more rigid but dude this was very poorly done, first you put all your strength on the iPhone 6, then on the Android phones you got fatigued and only spent a fraction of the time trying to bend them then you did with the iPhone 6. And the iPhone 6 Plus you spent the whole video trying to bend it unlike these phones
Well, when you hold something in your hand you can pretty much tell if you can bend it or not with a little pressure. for example if i give you a brick you won't spent all your energy trying to bend it since you know you can't.
"Fatigued" LOL yeah i bet he got super tired and worn out from bending the iphone 6. are you a baby bird?
He spent more time on the galaxy note 3 out of all of them so no complaining isheep
Butthurt?
He tried the moto x twice, and nothing.
Erm not a fan of the massive bigger iPhones but aren't they thinner than the competition? Design flaw maybe but not unexpected in such a thin device...
Well, if you make a really thin phone (with a camera sticking out) you should think of the consequences this would have on the rigidness.
Its thinner relative to other iphones
Bend on Iphone 6 Plus is because the position of buttons/holes at the same level axis on both sides. That design flaw make weak the structure if any force is apply there. Can be solved only by repositioning those buttons.
You can't be applying the same amount of pressure on all devices because you are bound to get fatigued. You should perform this test with some kind of pressure measurement because it's not accurate. I also noticed you spent more time trying to bend the iPhone than the others, lol
Fuuuuu! I tried bending my iPhone 5s and it bent. I dont have a phone anymore :(
pics or it never happened
jeffwhisperinthewind I do not have a camera. I only have iPhone 5s, which the screen is broken and I can no longer use it. Damnit!
***** I trusted the guy in the video. I thought it's durable as what I think.
Lapu-Lapu Magellan how are u commenting then?
jeffwhisperinthewind I don't think he can bend his computer?
And remember, OS updates will make your iPhone water proof.
And will charge your battery with the waves found in your microwave.
That was hilarious... "Oh we have an iPhone 5s here, shall we?" Bruh😂
So I guess the "will it blend" tests are now a thing of the past. These days, everyone wants the "will it bend" tests.
The iPhone 6 blends by the way
Do Samsung galaxy s4 it will snap in half like paper
-said a hipster
And paper do not snap it rips
paper cant be snapped or ripped when you bend it. its paper
Lol the note 3 smashed the test i didnt have one dent and its made of plastic too
It wont snap anyway. Idiot.
This whole phone bending stuff is the shittest thing ever
First people want thin phones.
Of course they bend! But only if you try actually to bend it. Who is so stupid that bends his own phone??
Since when have people been wanting thin phones. Ever since the smartphone concept emerged, people wanted thicker phones to put larger batteries in them, because the run dry so quickly
"Of course they bend! But only if you try actually to bend it."
Simply false. There has been cases of iPhone bending in pockets.
No you idiot. There many people including my friend who got their iPhone 6 bent while being in the pocket
Well think of it this way: by trying to bend it, you put the same amount of work into the phone in a short period of time as having it in your pocket for an extended period of time, of course the separation of the panel might be unlikely, yet the possibility of bending is still there, just over a longer time frame.
dude Cx first of all the other phones didnt bend
2nd of all, the iphone even bends when you put it in your pocket
i mean, thats bullshit because people is paying a lot of money for a freaking phone that bends with almost no force??
Okay, the main reason why the iPhone 6 plus would bend is because it's 7.1 mm thick and made of Aluminum. These other phones that were tested are either aluminum or plastic, but they are much thicker than the iPhone 6/6 plus.
And also, of course a phone as thin as the 6/6plus will bend if you try to bend them.
Im happy i have the ragular 6😅
*regular
I'm happy with my 6s
one m8 is great!
+FedoraMaster101 I have the g2 would it be a downgrade if I got the m8?
Moby Dick Of Dopeness what do you mean by the g2? The LG G2?
thanx buddy i changed my plan thought to go for the htc m8 or note 4...i waited for i phone 6 more than 7 month ...sucks
You should get the HTC one max if you want a stylish phablet though! Has similar or even better looks then the 6+ (but thats a bit of a subjective thing), better audio, screen, options and performance.
Thanx budy even i thought to go for htc m8
just stick with iPhone's that were made under Jobs supervision... Note3 is my main phone, but iPhone 3GS also still in daily use.
He worked on the 4 as well
I Found Fido sure
My 4S is very durable as was my 3GS, I think after iPhone 5 there started to be way more problems will Apple's products. My boyfriends iPhone 5 has a battery problem, it'll die when it says it has 15% left or suddenly jump to 10% less, I think many other people have this problem too.
***** so you mean when Steve Jobs himself said that 3.5 inch screen is prefect size and also said in 2010 that no one would want to buy a phone with a big screen, that in fact he had a plan for big screen phone? makes no sense....
***** well, you kinda changed the subject but what ever.. and PS3 online is still free.
dude the iPhone 5 and 5s are the most durable phones ever built i swear. I don't have case at all for my 5 and dropped it so many damn times. the screen has ZERO scratches on it. a few scratches on t he metal edges but this only happened after years of banging on the floor of my car and sides of the doors haha
Look at all the isheeps saying why didnt he bend a samsung phone? He already tried and couldnt with the galaxy note 3
Yes, the fanboyz are getting all *bent* out of shape over this issue XD
Is there a way to show us how much force you are applying to bend every phone, so that way we know they are bend equally?! please reply or like this so he can see this comment. thanks!
I agree!! It seemed as if he applied more pressure with his left thumb on the iPhone 6.
The bending shouldn't even be an issue just use a fucking case with any phone that has a glass screen you should be using a case. This really shouldn't be an issue
there are many dumb people in this world
Jagmohan Gajjar its nice to be aware of yourself
Of course it's an issue, if your phone bends and you need a case include it in the sale don't make people spend more 20$...
with a phone as big as the plus, not many people want to use a case to make it even bigger
You're a dumbass, getting a case is not a good solution, its called flawed engineering and its not acceptable
when he heard the crack with the nokia, it actually was his bones cracking lol xD
What about Samsung S5 ?
he tested the Note 3, and it's basically a bit of a bigger s5 on his previous video.
NviForce the problem is, s5 breaks when bending, and note 3 for some reason didint break. So probably he didint used the power for note video :)
Flamster Well whoopdi doo, everything probably breaks if an elephant sits on the top of it, and most phones don't bend unless you intentionally bend it with the power of 3000 pairs of skinny jeans.
ey, go to youtube and search for samsung s5 bend test
Why not the S5? To many fanboys knowing it will probably fall apart.
I think there was one who did it as test, it cracked immediately, starting with the display.
Honestly it probably wouldn't break if u saw the bigger note 3's bend test. Bigger usually means easier to bend and Note 3 didn't bend so you can already predict the outcome
zubilitic
source? because all videos show that the s5 does not bend at all like the m8...
Check the bend test Galaxy S5 video on my channel.
Try the moto g
Watch apple announce a bent proof case.
That would be to good to be true.
Pathetic!
Thank you I was very worried about my iPhone 6 bending, glad to know its not!
5:08 that's what she said
hahah
The M8 is not similar to the iPhone. The iPhone is similar to the M8.
what about the LG G3. I like the LG phones
It doesnt bend however like all android phones, it will have the screen pop out haha
not all androids, as opposed to the overprice apple garbage
how much is it outright?
Eli Musgrove 299$ per year the hell you smoking man LOL if apple ever sold their phonjes that cheap theyd be pissed the complete price of an iphone 6 is around 700$ so I dont even know what youre smoking man
and then apple makes you pay a lot more for extra space -__- refusing to add an sd card slot that shouldnt be that hard to add into their phone LOL
ok, my moto x 2014 does a great job in this test :)
thats why u dont make phones too thin
yup
Thin phones are fine, you just can't make it out of one piece of aluminium, the HTC one m8, yes it's thicker, has multiple pieces of aluminium, and a magnesium chassis.
Except for flexible screens.
I tried bend test with nokia 920 and heard a loud cracking noise...now i have to go to see a doctor cause my thumb broke.
first, do the s6. second, the nokia is like an inch thick...
ill show you something that's an inch thick. *licks lips
+John Matthews It is a thick phone but I have a Nokia Lumia 830 which is really slim and light and the build quality is phenomenal.
wow good news for me, i've been intending to get a moto X and this just reinforces my descision
The real tests are drop tests. When was the last time you heard someone bending their phone?
yesterday. and a year ago with the iphone 5s
^dude the iPhone 5s is a fucking rock. It doesnt bent
well,
www.cultofmac.com/248603/iphone-5ses-are-bending-in-peoples-pockets/
idk a few days ago when people were complaining that their iphones were bending? and real tests are also durability tests on the entire phone not just the seeing if the screen cracks.
Plenty of times.
WTF stop breaking all those nice phones!
Stfu
All these nice phones.... And an iPhone.
Breaking? UA-cam should remove the comment section completely. It just full of idiots, trolls, and people who *Don't even watch the video before they comment*.
Moto Wins! Fatality...
Moto X FTW!!!
