Yes, I saw Steve Perry sing this live in Chicago mid 80's. They opened the show with Only the Young. Rosemont Horizon was sold out, EVERY seat behind the stage sold. It was SO LOUD when they took the stage it took a minute or two for me to hear what they were playing, the crowd was louder than the music 🤯 I finally realized that we're playing Only the Young. It was an INCREDIBLE rush, OMG, I was having an out of body experience at that moment. I was SO HIGH on they're music with Perry singing. He was so inspiring with his voice 😉

So was I. Journey with Perry at lead vocals was so INCREDIBLY great. NO ONE did it like Steve Live. He was INCREDIBLE at telling stories, getting you all jacked up before a song. So good at that he was.

I saw them in concert a couple weeks ago , wasnt sure what to think of the lead singer but he impressed me 100 percent , yes hes not steve perry but i gave the guy a chance and was quite impressed

My dad has been a die hard lover since 1980 (he has a shrine in our garage, it’s kinda weird 😂) and he saw them in 1986 during their raised on radio tour, it was one Steve Perry’s last concerts. I saw them with him in April last year, and I am fortunate enough to see them again in LA in August with def leopard.
Thank God for Arnel keeping Journey Alive and LIVE for so many years now and for the OGs!! So glad Dean back on the drums and now Neil still as solid as ever. I saw them at the Hollywood bowl about eight years ago and one of the best live experiences ever.

Why are these live videos from Lollapalooza suddenly being showcased knowing these were terrible, since 2021 was the year Arnel had been having vocal problems and yet still had to sing these songs and keep on performing despite his vocals not in the best of shape and knowing the continuous damage being done to his vocals when he should have been resting it and probably getting treatment for it? Because of what?- contracts? You must really have to be dying to be able to get out of this tour.

Journey at Lollapalooza?? Like a joke.. I remember the 90’s used to have killer bands that were up & trending alternative.. Thought Lollapalooza died after Metallica played it.. Plus I saw many of the best bands for less than 50 bucks for an all day ticket
I don't want to offend you. But it's not the same without Steve Perry! Songs where he doesn't sing will never be my favorites. I think he was a very sensitive person and when he needed help you pushed him instead of helping him I would say. But maybe I'm wrong :-)
