Not really stealing. Ssangyong had licensed agreements with other companies. First cars are basically variants of Jeep, because SsangYong (that time called different) was making those for US army, later as licensed products under own brand (same case as Mahindra Thar). Lots of cars (especially Chairman family) were produced with partnership with Daimler, and uses design, parts and most of engines from Mercedes-Benz. Later, depend on who was the SY brand owner, cars were designed by the brand or badge-engineered (for example Tivoli has his equivalent in Mahindra brand called XUV300). So… definitely not copied…
More like the opposite, Mahindra rebadges Ssangyong cars, the Pontiac Aztec was sold by Ssangyong too, not a copy. It's a Korean brand(with mostly European r&ds, influence) not an average Chinese(rip off) brand.
@@johndavidson3424 Aztek never was sold as SY. Not in Asia nor in Europe. Maybe you think of Actyon model before facelift (btw. one of first SUV coupe, sorry X6 :D) it had quite unusual styling, but still, not so weird in my opinion…
The original logo is double ring 8, but the company was sold to other manufacturers in the middle (DAEWOO, SANGHAI, MAHINDRA, KG GROUP) and imported models were imported as they were, such as KALISTA, and some models have dedicated logos (such as ACTYON's A logo) and some of them are applied to subordinate models, so the logo is not consistent as if it reflects the chaotic atmosphere of the company
Logos are different. In Europe, especially Germany they used another one with two wings (dragonwings, which is the meaning of the brand) and not the original one with two S, because it is to similular to the nazi symbol SS (Schutzstaffel) which is forbidden.
@@johndavidson3424KG Group is a Korean chemical/steel company founded in 1985. SY was eventually sold to KG Group in 2022, and the existing logos were simply changed to KGM. However, export models and some models still use two wing logos. The manufacturer SY is no longer in history

Отличные машины, бюджетные и ооочень надёжные! У меня Кайрон второго поколения, уже десять лет на нём езжу и всё нравится.

Бомбические тачки за адекватные деньги.
The Ssanyong o Mercedes Benz Koreans are very good and their five-piston engine is not to mention how good they are
In summary; a tech brand gotta keep advancing it's products ethically
I tell you that they are very good cars, very good, I am very sorry that they are not circulated here in Canada.
Actyon gen 1 the first coupe suv years before BMW

@tpiapiac Cool. I recognized similarities to vehicles I knew from other manufacturers.
