Really good question Anish. In my perspective, the US will not defer the colleges or universities for fall 2020. In extreme conditions, they will make it online. If you look at the current coronavirus situation in the US, the colleges and universities are still running but online. However, It might affect the international students who are planning on attending the campus for fall 2020. The exact impact is not yet determined as it is still April and many believe that the US will reopen before fall, however as this is an unusual time, current entries into the US are being denied by the government of the US. We hope to create a video that will address this topic as more information becomes available. If you have more questions regarding international admission, scholarship, or any other please let us know, we will put ask those questions to one of the representatives from the international office.
This is Jeeten, I will add something too; So, if your are still in Nepal then it is really hard to say how that will affect your choice to come here at this moment. I believe that International student will have very little opportunity to the US for another year to attend school until they discover the cure for COVID-19.

@@ranjansubedi5455 It depends, legally International students can work 20 hours a week on-campus during the semester, and 40- hours a week on-campus in summer and winter break. The hourly pay rate is different in different states starting from $7.25. The 2 semester lasts almost(2*4= 8 months), and summer and winter break lasts almost 4 months. As I said the pay rate depends upon the state to state. If you could figure out the approx pay rate of the state you are going to, you could calculate in this way Approx Total week in a month = 4 weeks Total weeks in 2 semesters = 4*8 = 32 weeks= 640 workable hours Paycheck in 2 semester= 640 hours* the hourly pay rate of your state Total week in the break(Spring + summer) = 4*4= 16 weeks= 640 workable hours Paycheck in the breaks = 640 hours multiplied by the hourly pay rate of your state Total paycheck in a year= Paycheck from 2 semesters + Paycheck from breaks
Hello Prabin😊. If you are asking if you should attend the university if you have above mentioned fees/ scholarship then my answer is, it depends on how much can you afford. If I was in your position and the mention fees/scholorship is for a year, I would happily take it because to me it is very affordable. Like I said it’s very hard for me to give exact answer without knowing someone’s financial background. I would ask a question to myself if I can afford the fees or not? If I can then I will take that offer. I hope that answers your question😊
@@dharamnathsah9437 Salary depends upon which state you work in and your employer. Every state has its own minimum hourly pay rate, keeping that in mind employers can pay you anywhere starting from the minimum wage. For instance, the minimum hourly wage in California is $12/hrs. So employers in California can pay you anywhere starting from $12/hrs. You can work anywhere On-Campus. Therefore, the type of work varies. For example, You can work with the professor being their assistance, you can work in the research department being research assistance, you can work as a tutor, you can work as a student worker or manager in the cafeteria, you can work as a help desk person and many more. In the end, it all depends upon you what kind of work you want to do.
