- This time I collect cans that other writers throw and use them to fill my piece. In the end, using also cans of mine, I make a piece with many colors. I hope you like this improvised combination of color. Enjoy this video and support it if you liked it.

Ive never seen a graffiti artist just open a can with a nail to get a different texture. Its really cool, and i think graffiti is a very interesting form of art.

Everyone saying "So disrespectful he covered their art" Every tagger I've ever met in my entire life has either covered someone's "Art" or their art got covered. IT'S GONNA BE COVERED EVENTUALLY, and you expect your art to be covered it's literally the normal it's not disrespectful at all... BUT if he just put a line over it and didn't put art over it THAT'S disrespectful. Also everyone saying that it is disrespectful obviously never picked up a spray can... No one expects their art not to be covered

In some areas with gangs, tagging over someone else's tag is a start to a gang war. Of course where I live it just means you don't care.

Cover ups and scratch outs are different, cover ups aren't disrespectful but scratch outs means beef
To people complaining about him covering up other art, it's normal. Kind of like a cycle. Old artworks get replaced by new ones and so on and so forth. These legal graffiti spaces aren't unlimited either so you're going to have to cover up other art to make your own if there's no sufficient space. These people are used to it and they most probably don't give a damn.

So i know that other artists eventually cover previous work, but how do you determine when and what should be covered? Im not a graffiti artist, and dont really wanna do it either, but Ive always been curious about this xP

@foul lily, So there is no real "set rules" on this, however generally speaking you would only go over the other person if the piece you put up is going to be better, which of course this can be subjective, as with any art, although typically speaking its not hard to tell if the current piece on the wall is garbage or was created by someone who isn't quite "good" yet. Also time could play a factor into this as well, if the piece has been sitting there for years and its fading or chipping away, unless it is a huge quality mural, then that is usually fair game as well.
HOWEVER that being said, if someone paints a piece, regardless of quality, and then the next day or 2 you come along and paint over that piece, that's to short of time and that is basically your way of telling that person you want beef, unless its a public wall, in which case tuff luck these rules dont really apply.

Wow. I dunno how this video was discovered but it's obvious that nobody here is a real Graff writer. There IS an unwritten rule in graff: bombs over tags, pieces over bombs.
Tags are quick monikers of the name. No fill ins just tags. Bombs are quick forms of a piece simple letters and only consisting mostly of one fill in color and then an outline and shadows. Also known as throw ups bcz they're quickly thrown up on the wall. Pieces are intericate forms of letters sometimes known as wild style, burners,etc they have many styles. In this case, in my opinion the one he covered was better lol

They were half empty cans, he probably had them saved up from other projects. And even if it doesn’t spray anymore doesn’t mean it’s totally empty so that’s how you can get all the last drops of paint out
