Such a simple piece of kit but so valuable when fishing accurately!

And when You wrapping up distance, you are doing in figure of 8 between distance sticks, but that is also a personal preference. But i found that it is easier to do it in figure of 8, because if the line goes slack a bit it doesnt drop on the floor as if you would do it in circle.

Good video, however none of the instructional spod vids I’ve seen address what to do when you spod/mark up with braid but your fishing rods are on mono? With the stretch in mono how would you allow for this in your wraps? It’s not a criticism at all, just a question I’ve always had in my own fishing that I’d be interested in hearing opinions on....

if my fishing rod 13 is bigger than spod rod 12, should i consider the difference when wrapped?

Setting up the sticks 12 ft apart and fishing with 13ft rods and baiting up with 12ft 6 inch rods would there be any different in the cast would I be falling short of my spot with my spod and marker? Would everything still be hitting the same spot aslong them sticks are 12ft apart and all rods wrapped the same distance is what I’m trying to ask

yes its all the same distance as long as the sticks stay at 12ft apart rod length has nothing to do with it

@@No-oc7qk not true, you have 1ft more line out when using a 13ft rod to count. Overseeable most of the time, unless you want pinpoint accuracy.

But if using a line clip can you not use your baitrunner / free spool?

Take line off the clip when you have cast your rods in mate then if you take your rods in or catch you have to wrap up again put line back in the clip. Hope that helps if that's what you ment.

Load of old bullshit carp fishing should be easy not a chore also your distance sticks should be the same distance apart as your carp rod's not your spombing rod nuff said
