I was born in one of the islands very close to St. Lucia: Barbados. I’ve always been curious why tourists have been choosing St. Lucia rather than Barbados, so this was great to see. The pitons are beautiful.
Love your party boat story 😂😂. My husband and I would prefer an educational tour of a hot spring too! Lol.. Coincidentally, we'd also been to Blue Lagoon in Iceland and had a great time. We've following your channels for over a year now. Always enjoy your contents!
Hello CarryonMonkey Great video. We have been to St Lucia, we stayed at Sandals Halcyon beach. What a great deal you got. You are so right sometimes what you need is just a nice relaxing holiday. Thanks for a great video. Take Care Chris and Sandra of Canada.
Haha. I didn't see it as moaning. You merely expressed what aspects you did and did not enjoy. Not everyone will like all the things. But there is always something to enjoy. @@CarryOnMonkey
Hoping all the best for this big decision - as someone that was introduced to you with your Japan videos (which I regularly watch as they inspired some places of my trip there in Spring), I hope you're moving over there!
Those Japan videos were the best! I’ve watched them 2-3 times already salivating at my future Japan trip. I think my 1st video of suitcase monkey was the Maldives Instagram vs reality one.
St Lucia's population is approximately 180,000. It's a very small island with an area of 238 sq.miles. it is also known as "The Helen of the West Indies". It is the only island with two famous Nobel Prize Winners. They are Sir Arthur Lewis and Sir Derek Walcott, who won awards for Economics and Literature respectively. St Lucia hosts the famous St Lucia Jazz Festival in May every year. The hurricane Season starts in June and ends in November . It's worth noting that the active hurricane months are August to October. However, hurricanes do not strike every island annually. Most visitors enjoy the warm, mud baths. It has been said that the mud baths are very beneficial for skin conditions. Great video. Very impressive and informative . Thanks.
Wait you talking about how many Brits were with you in St. Lucia reminded me so much of my honeymoon in Antigua. My wife and I are American so we are programmed to drive and walk on the right side at all times. The number one way we could tell our fellow Americans apart from the many Brits that were staying at our resort with us (aside from accent of course) was whether we would run into each other on the footpaths around the resort.
Also: I feel like St. Lucia has a ton of amazing resorts that kind of get overshadowed by the insanity that is the Jade Mountain resort. I think it’s really one of the nicest places in the Caribbean for a holiday
Ok one more thought. We also met some very nice folks on our boat tour which circumnavigated Antigua, but it also was definitely a “party boat” environment. The thing is, we picked up extremely distinct groups of people at each resort the boat stopped at. The resort my wife and I stayed at was mostly younger honeymooners. Sandals was almost exclusively 50+ couples. And the other resort (can’t recall the name) was like early to mid twenties single people that the staff of the boat flirted with the entire time.
Hiya, loved your vid and have been looking to book the same 1 week trip (ends up working out around 6 whole days). Do you think this is enough time? Thank you in advance!
I watch your video to explore more new things in life. But can you make transcript for every your videos? Actually i can learn english through watching your videos❤
Hope you enjoy this latest travel video! Here's the hotel we stayed at 👉 www.hotels.com/affiliate/4INrrpG

My opinion, I found Barbados boring and too commercialised but with St Lucia there’s more things to do
I felt this. I'm at that age where yahooing and drinking is boring and I want to enjoy and learn about the place I'm at.
😂 I know where my place is in society and it is not wallowing in the mud with strangers. 😅 Great video!
Wow simply beautiful st Lucia
Stunning video, as always. You really capture the beauty of wherever you visit.
Loved this video...informative and humerus....we are going to this hotel from England for our 50th wedding anniversary...so excited
Thanks. Enjoy, you’ll love it!
Love your no-nonsense style, non-clickbaity, videos.
Island looks lovely, but looks like the mosquitos have a buffet every evening? 🤣
They weren’t that bad to be honest. I just couldn’t resist the joke. 😂
That was the best St. Lucia video I’ve seen yet. I wasn’t looking for an all inclusive, but the location may change my mind. Thanks!
Great video as always, Paul ❤ you got an amazing deal so well done on that! The hotel looks awesome too! St Lucia is definitely on our bucket list 😁🫶🏽

A new baby 👶 along the way. Congratulations 🥳

Yeah we were only 7 nights and it was great
I live in Saint Lucia
How far is this hotel from the city centre? Thanks!
About a 20/25 minute walk
@@CarryOnMonkey so that is quite close. Have you reviewed a St. Lucia all inclusive hotel that is more remote? Thx
I have not but the hotel still feels remote
Don’t worry guys, I’m also the same when I travel, I would like some peace and quiet, but sometimes is not possible 😅
Ps. The choice in song 😂😂😂
We’re getting old, 😂
@@CarryOnMonkey I think I've always been old then 👀😂
My guess? You’re moving to Canada!?!
Haha good call. That would be lovely… 😃
I watch your video to explore more new things in life. But can you make transcript for every your videos? Actually i can learn english through watching your videos❤
If you mean subtitles, I do?
@@CarryOnMonkeyi mean pdf transcript, you know that i can print it and take down some notes about new vocabularies for easily learning 😂
@phatminhle ha. Sorry bit busy making a travel video lol
Also I have started to do that for the main channel. This one is more casual so probably not here but on Suitcase Monkey yes I’ve been doing that 😜
@@CarryOnMonkeythank you so much, i have already subscribed your main channel
Probably a good idea to leave a few gaps in the commentary…too much chat….
This is a chatty channel
Typical British pomposity 😂😂
