Yep, my top 3 favorite genre. The best thing about it is it can be applied to any other genre; Fps rougelike, Arpg rougelike, metrovania rougelike, even a racing rougelike is possible. I even saw a platforming rougelike yesterday that had fighting mechanics like super smash bros/brawlhalla. The possibilities are endless
I'm very surprised no one has stated that this game looks EXTREMELY similar to diablo. Its basically rougelike diablo. Which is great! Diablo in itself is an amazing game and this game and this game basically parallels it, including the exploding enemies I was seeing a lot of. The hot bar at the bottom, the placement of the HP and the top down fast paced action, the open dungeon like maps, all of it. The good thing is that this is perfect for a rougelike genre and ,when this game adds a lot more features, its seems like it has potential to be one of the better or best rougelikes. If people watching this like this game then I HIGHLY recommend that you play Diablo. The new one comes out soon and diablo 3 was a great ride when i play it. The biggest difference between these games is Diablo has a ton more content and also cost 3 times as much. If the price isn't an issue and you haven't played it I highly recommend you give it a try. Also get the new one when it drops because I promise it will be an enjoyable experience...... just expensive XD I do want to give it some time but I will 100% be buying ravenswatch when it is more complete. It'll be a great Diablo like game to go to once and a while and dumb a few hundred hours into.
If Mythy got the rest of the stones on hand in he would have probably beaten the defense quest. It's definitely doable with around 12-15 stones or wood. Mythy also has the same playstyle as me lol. Starts as Scarlet then goes for Aladdin. And one of the first youtubers that I've seen actually go for the boss kill without taking out all the tentacles. Respect.
You know what this game reminds me of? Custom Warcraft 3 map "Diablo Duel"! I was looking for something like this for years. I hate roguelikes BUT - i will definitely play this on release with my friends bcs this have this PVE-moba vibes from years ago.
Yes! you should play Curse of the Dead Gods! it was a great game that started very barebones, but with hight quality where it mattered. i have good confidence that passtech know what they're doing here :D Great video!

Roguelikes are such a great genre. Especially since they are pretty much always developed by passionate indie developers
usually only half-developed though... wonderful concepts that earn well before they're finished and then stagnate :/

I'm on nightmare 9 I don't kill the tentacles main goal is lvls and skill/DMG upgrades for me. I have scarlet piper and Beowulf rank 7
