Everyone saying it’s a cheap $3 pen doesn’t know what they’re talking about. They would need to see and feel the pen to know. Awesome pen and nice video 👍

This is a 3 Dollar Pen from Alibaba rebranded and sold for too much money. I got one too today. What a scam.

@@theopulentlife889 Yeah sry to say that like that. I was so angry. I paid 52€... "Designed in London". The do everything to hide "Made in China". After that i got a Waterman pen for the same amount of money and it is beautiful. To write, to hold and to look at.

No worries. 52€ is very steep for this pen, I paid much much less than that I believe somewhere in the ballpark of 20-25$. A waterman is definitely more premium quality and I have one myself too 😊

Thanks for the tip and reminder to research Alibaba. I hate this trend and didn't know who this brand was.
They claim to be the only British pen to have the king's award. More egg on him. It's not British.
Granted things are globalized manufacturing, things aren't made in one place anymore.
Or is it perfectly British afterall? There's a royal family imperialism joke close by, I feel it.

Thank u for the very thorough review! I just purchased a Golden and black Scrivener fountain pen for my husband for our 50th wedding anniversary yesterday!
I like value for the money and I got it with this fountain pen. Nice to look at and good directions for use. Hubby is an CPA and uses pens all the time but he would use his pen for writing his signature on documents and also personal notes.
I am going to their website to research the company’s history!!!! Thanks again! Franca

Great overview. Thanks! Would you say what paper you are testing on? I found the type of paper makes a difference. More with fountain pens, but it's goid to know for those who are familiar with their paper.
This might sound funny, for me the music reminds of waiting for church to start 😅 Fun choice.
To me extra spring like that is if the spring is lost or if you want to cut it to fit different inks. You could also double them or stretch one for shorter ink refills. I don't know how the front is for fitting multiple inks or how long the inside is, you'll have to say on that. Maybe test the fit of other popular ink refills from brands like Pilot and Pentel. Those can be shorter pens fitting Japanese classics. Well some of them. I don't know what would be a long one other than what it already came with. Something from Cross maybe.

Very nice pen. I would love transparent refill to check ink level. I try to buy transparent refills only including ballpoint Parker style refill, Inoxchrom had them.

Good job on the review. I would have liked a little more. Maybe a bit on the history of the company? In your opinion, who is this pen for? Or what occasion does it fit best, like is it an everyday type pen, or is it more suited to shorter occasions like accompanying a chèque book? Also, I'm at an age (which is not that old) where I like to see cursive and see a bit of attention payed to the display of how it works on paper if you press hard or soft or if the quality is there, how would it handle some calligraphy?
I'm sorry for all of this input. I'm still going to sub and see what's in store for future reviews. You've got a great voice and presentation style, I just think that maybe you weren't excited by the product, there were things that might have been overlooked. If you weren't excited by it, I would like to hear your honest opinion of it without trying to be polite. Tell me what you really think about this pen. Please don't take this as criticism, I'm just commenting and I'm not the one who has taken the time and put effort into making this review, that takes skills I don't have. I'm only trying to share my thoughts on how you could possibly, maybe, perfect your videos. However, by no means am I a professional reviewer, like yourself. Thanks again for the video, good job.

Thank you for your honesty and comments. I am definitely still working to improve my content and your suggestions are very valuable. I'll try adding more detail to my pen reviews. Honestly speaking after having purchased so many luxury goods and reviewing them I dont get excited easily and it takes a lot to get my interest going but I'll try to be forthcoming in the next videos. Thanks

You are so right and giving my personal opinion as a writer, an author, and blogger, I love handwriting old fashion long-hand penmanship but the pressure of the pen has to travel with smoothness because that means everything.
We must know about the ink traveling to the head of the pen pressure point while the ink is going through the pen and if the ink lick or not to the next page or will it smear on the paper while we are writing on expenses paper and especially inside of an expensive journal.
