this is my favourite mission in all games. we can eliminate him by infiltrwting his crew or by posing as the swat team. so badass and innovative. epic stuff
I prefer the meat king's party. The gore and creepy uneasy atmosphere is just off the charts and makes it one of the most memorable and original missions. The map is awesome and there's many ways to accomplish stuff. Beldingford manor is a close 2nd as well.

I think deadly cargo is superior in general wether being the map or the methods or even the outfits and story behind it. The only thing that doesn't add up to me is tye end. Never in a million years would swat let you escape in under any circumstances but oh well it's a game.
Deadly cargo: This mission for me where stealth went completely out the window I tried disguising myself as a docks worker with a toolbox but it only got so far before the police raided the ship....so guns out ...assassinate target....disguised myself as a swat member and headed for the exit point... Ranking: mass murderer!
One of the most toughest mission of this Hitman Series because I often lost my timing to sedate SWAT team , Getting caught up with Police or failed to kill the target without alert level to lose Silent Assassin
@@dondotta8304obviously it will affect the rating. You won't get silent assassin if you kill more than the target (1 enemy is allowed in certain missions too like the meat kings party and lee hongs assassination)

it reminds me of the first strip club I used to go to when I was 20, cozy, intimate, fun, I didn't have a car back then so I would ride my bike there a couple miles away, late night, it was an adventure each time...inside it had the same look and setup too, good times, good memories... little did I know and found out later that most clubs are not like that at all, mine was unique and had an atmosphere like here in the game, as opposed to big, cold, soulless, moneygrabbing business places that most are... this was back in 07', by like 2013 it was gone and demolished, and by 2015 they built a church in it's place lol for eastern european orthodox, they have a rec center and stage for their faith rock bands lol ... idk how I feel about that, but it's probably for the best, I stopped going altogether like in 09' anyway, so what do I care
This was the first mission I managed to get Silent Assassin on in this game. Once you figure out how everything works, it becomes second nature. Still, whenever I get SA, I immediately have to go Psychopath for a "victory" run.
those who play codename 47 knows that they are identical details (the car, the bar, the girl, the transmitter) but the consceptor have modified a lot of details (for exemple in codename 47 there is NO police there is only 47 and his weapons)
AI in Hitman always pissed me off. For example, I remember that if you shoot the terrorists/criminals as a SWAT unit in this mission, you alert the other SWAT and they start attacking you. That's simply because the coding was fucked up. Generally speaking, AI in Hitman games don't seem to be coded so that they ever fight each other. This mission seems to be an exception (again, though, if you actually shoot as a SWAT unit, you alert the other police, which is stupid). Can't recall, but it'd be interesting to play it again and see if the criminal deaths are scripted, or if they really fight with the SWAT.
Not really the SWAT won't attack you if you shoot the sailors. But once you kill the target by going in as a SWAT member all SWAT members will know that you killed him and start shooting you even if they don't see you kill the target. That's why you have to escape with the detonator so you kind of hold them hostage into not shooting you out of fear that it might trigger the bomb.
@@blooddragon911 Maybe. I'll have to try it again. I think that when I shot the sailers, the SWAT still turned on me. It's lazy development. And even if this is the one mission where you can fight alongside AI, that's about it (if not completely it). In Blood Money, for example (The Murder of Crows level), the police won't shoot criminals even if they (the police) see the criminals chasing and shooting you. Rather, the police join in and also shoot you. Horrible immersion.
@@googlewolly I agree. The rules of engagement only applies to you and no other npc. It's one of the most frustrating things I've seen in Hitman. Even worse if you get in front of Mark Parchezzi during the chase in Amendment XXV he will open fire on you in front of the secret service and they won't give a crap.
@@blooddragon911 Exactly. In the Hitman games, the rules only ever apply to you. Specific uniforms for certain areas, for example. Or doors that require keycards. NPCs can literally just open said doors without needing the keycard. (And it doesn't even play the proper animation.)
Disappointingly, you still can't even do this in the latest Hitman game. It would have been satisfying to instigate a gunfight between factions in a level, for instance in Mumbai, where there are Indian Royal Guards and Street Thugs.
...Once again, this isn't exactly what happened, and I don't remember a rain shower and a SWAT team interfering. Oh, and that pipsqueak is absent. (As it turns out, the latter is foreshadowing what happens later in that hotel... apparently, 47 knew they were coming.) As much as Contracts improves on some of Codename 47's best missions, it's a bit of a shame that the first game's tutorial, the notorious Columbia missions and the more enjoyable yet uncharacteristically anti-assassination Romanian asylum finale didn't get the remake treatment too... that leaves console players of the series a bit unlearned when it came to 47's origins and are most likely forced to watch playthroughs like this, if not buy a PC for said game. 12:00 mark: Oww! Why are they shooting at you?! Detonator's at hand!

The helicopter never appears for me and I always exactly what you do on your walkthroughs and sometimes I can barely get through the police station without getting caught.
You have to wait till the SWAT beats the sailors and the cutscene of the target asking for the chopper triggers. If you kill him before that the helicopter won't come.
I did this a different way, and I got an alert ("The guard have found an unconscious person") even if I did not kill or sedate anyone other than the target!!! Does anyone know why? Still got silent assassin, though.
Why does this series keep putting nukes in Rotterdam? It's like they think Rotterdam is the nuke capital of the world or something. ''Forget about weed, you'll be tripping over all of the nukes lying around.''
Well, who would expect Rotterdam to be a nuke transaction area. Normally, they would expect more well known cities like Moscow, Beijing, Baghdad, Berlin, Rome, and New York.
I never understood whats the purpose of the rat poison on the second floor of the strip club and poisoning the whiskey bottle at the basement with it, even though nobody's ordering a drink. Does anyone know something I don't because it looks like a waste of a point of interest in this mission of the game.
It represents an opportunity to obtain a worker's uniform. If you talk to one of the yellow-clad workers in the bar, he'll ask the bartender for some whiskey from the basement. Then, if the whiskey has been poisoned, it will kill him as he goes up to the second floor of the bar with it.
Ok I don't get it, dressed as a swat guy you come out of the cockpit with the trigger device and everybody starts thinking you as a terrorist?! I mean wouldn't they be thinking you just secured the guy and now take the trigger for safe disarming or something?
+Galejro The police don't want the bad guy dead. They wanted him in for questioning. To the SWAT people, the only way you could have obtained the detonator is by killing the bad guy. Thus the SWAT people essentially think you are the terrorist because you "failed" the mission of the SWAT team and you are holding the detonator.
Also if you walk along the right side of the ship after getting the detonator none of the guards can alert on you at all. On PS3 the helicopter won't always arrive, so I ran back to the start and got silent assassin anyway.
Well, at least she didn't just poledance against a street light for 30 seconds like the last one. That other guy seemed awfully happy with just that for some reason.
That last part was a bit derp. So he takes down the crazy guy with the detonator, while wearing a police uniform, and they still point their guns at him?
@@Onmysheet Because 47 killed Boris. The cops wanted him alive. He dropped the detonator but as he killed Boris he picked it up so that doesn't go off.
I completed this mission within 5minutes with silent Assassin rating .. I killed target using ballers sd from long distance and ran away to exit point .

This mission is better for a game ending than the ending itself.

When you are with the swat team you can shoot and kill the ship crew and the rest of the team wont attack you.
But would a silent assassin do that tho?? Only kill the target.

This, 'Traditions of the Trade', and 'Wang Fou Incident' are easily my favourite missions in the game.

With rat poison you can poison a whiskey in the basement but I don't know who drinks it?

Absolutely. It might not be the easiest strategy, but it's part of the game's effort to give the player plenty of options to go about their mission.

If you kill him with guns it will explode.
