I laugh so hard on turn 2 as well ^^ I had Hagatha in hand so I tried to get a new shudderwock from the discover battlecry but that was unlikely. Always nice to play against you :)
I love Thijs, but I think I would hate playing against him... I hate it when people don't end the turn, or just take super long on their turn for no reason >8(
May be an unpopular opinion, but I hate that they printed that card. The 2 mana one, not Shudderwock. I don't play the game much anymore myself (mostly just watch my man Thijs's videos), but I have always loved combo decks. Being able to just remove the win condition of the other player like that feels like such bs, even if it's not likely. You're still going to get good value out of it even if it doesn't hit a combo card. In terms of card advantage, it's basically a 2 mana 2/3 draw. Compare that to Novice Engineer. I don't mind milling as a mechanic. In fact, the first two decks I crafted and played were Fatigue Druid and Mill Rogue. Those are probably still in my top 5 decks in terms of fun. My problem is there's no way to play around the Warlock card. Against a mill deck, you at least can try to dump your hand, and there's a sacrifice on the other end for trying to mill you anyway. Whether it's giving you cards before milling any, or at least inefficiently spending mana disregarding the mill. But there's no downside to playing a 2 mana 2/3 that removes an opponent's card.
I agree. I'm not really a fan of mill but the way HS has done mill until gnomeferatu was manageable because, as you said, you can interact with it by dumping your hand. Effects I dont like are things that get rid of my deck with no counterplay/consequence, get rid of my hand with no counterplay/consequence, and can't be targeted/activated/effected. in all my years of playing TCG's (which is 14 now) those have been the effects that have caused me the most headaches over the years. And HS has been good with this mostly. mill decks are all "force my opponent to draw/add cards to their hand so their future draws discard cards". that can be somewhat played around and doesnt cause an instant loss unless you burn some VERY valuable cards, and requires time, set up, and a deck basically built around it The only real hand interaction card, dirty rat, had the risk of missing entirely or potentially bringing out a big enemy minion at an unopportune time, and thus require timing and knowledge and preparation. And there have only been a handful of "can't touch this!" cards, all of which are either under powered or are gotten randomly (lich kings anti magic shell) and can still at least be effected by AoE effects (though they really need to stop making them since they are inherently unhealthy imo) But gnomferatu? Nah. Thats the kind of card I hate the most. she doesnt need the deck built around her to do milling, theres no counterplay against it except praying. This is wrong. Even if the card itself isn't necessarily a problem, the design space it fills is very unhealthy.
I agree with what you said. I forgot about Dirty Rat and the old 3 mana 2/8 deathrattle one from Naxx (I'm blanking on the name). I was always annoyed by them because I like to play combo decks, so often what was supposed to be a downside helped them. The minions were overstatted and had a negative effect, but instead ruined my win condition while having insane stats for the mana cost, but they weren't as bad as Gnomeferatu
Great Video! Can someone explain to me why Saronite Chain Gang work with shudderwock ? I mean it Copy itself, yes, but the copy is a summon. I thought Battlecries activate only when played from hand.
Even on turn 1 (when you get the coin) and discard Warlock's DK, Malygos or any combo bullshit, it's instaconcede. I always laugh hard against those fellas.
miguel nava it's a meme thing, not necessary. It's good in this meta since everyone is playing such greedy decks. Another version is with the 0/4 portal/meatwagon - combo with Glinda/gnomegirl/giants
Because he is a overconfident nerdy piece of sh**t. Probably if he lost this game he would never show it to public. And Tars was right, he always can gest Shudder from "discover minion with battlecry". Then Thijs would cry squicking like a girl instead of laughing.
What is troubling you, my friend, where is this anger coming from? Let me know if you want to talk about it. Just like for Thijs, good things will come your way as well some day.
Are you some sort of advocate for him? Or a home made doctor. Whats troubling me is that player of his caliber act like he does on is channel. And don't you worry I havnt watching him from this one, and I rather like his gameplays, except ones when he started to act like a jerk. Most of the good HS youtubers has their own style and class , but this one is definitely out of class of such player. Is that a good answer to your condescending question?
0:55 lmaooo, Thijs finally got lucky :)

Its just a combo deck they all have a similar gameplan of stall and draw till you can play the combo
At 06:43 should have grumble with void lord, 1 void walker attacks windfury, hero power windfury. Chain - Windfury, VL, VW, Grumble, VW from VL.

What do yall think of theothar? XD
I dunno why but when he left his chair I was half-expecting the stale chair joke.
Pauvre Tars :(
More of this deck, please. One, even so nice, game is not enough.
Great Video!

So nobody is gonna talk about what kind of tea he is really drinking? :D
i think getting full roped on turn 2 when the opponent has no mana or coin would tilt me more than shudderwock getting milled
Have you forgot having two summoners and UIs as starting hand Mr. Thijs?
I just got clickbaited...
but I am not disappointed.
"Lovemaking my own tea" uuum
Poor unlucky Tars! He is à good guy
Guys, i am kind a new to this game, how do i get to see my cards in the deck on the right side like he does ?
Am I the only guy who half-expected the chair joke?

Why do those control decks not run Elise? She works nuts for me played tempo, and is amazing against a control matchup
there is no space for her in the deck.Everything is needed i guess..
The Shaman still did pretty well.
Even on turn 1 (when you get the coin) and discard Warlock's DK, Malygos or any combo bullshit, it's instaconcede. I always laugh hard against those fellas.
Shaman didn't give up tho. Isn't that a respectable spirit!
victory on the 2nd turn and the video must be completed on the 2-way
Hahahaha! Great! Mill all those Shudderwocks xd
i can never not hear "Shitter wock"
How good is this deck? I don't have any treachery and idk if is worth craft it
miguel nava It's super good vs combo decks ...since you can discard their cards they need for combos
ohyeshxD is necessary both of them? Can I climb ranks 7-legend myb?
miguel nava it's a meme thing, not necessary. It's good in this meta since everyone is playing such greedy decks.

Thijs, your ponounciation is just horrible. It is not treasury, it is treachery! Dont forget your ritalin.
maybe learning to spell before tearing someone down is a good idea (pronounciation)
Nobody gives a single fuck about your pronounciation advice. Now go start your own stream. Loser.
