Fallout Factions releases in July, which I think may actually work better for players coming from 40K and the like.

The Nightkin from New Vegas were blue super mutants, so your paint scheme is legit
No one said that super mutants can't suffer from albinism
This is the only war game I've been successful in bringing friends in to play regularly. Small teams, small boards, low stakes. Great video, great game.

Yeah, Call to Arms is significantly streamlined. Its still a very crunchy experience, but theres not quite as ridiculous an amount of counters. Also, they dropped the range rulers. ^^

I love the skyrim game. I'll defo be covering that at some point. My adventurers need a game!

Not sure how well timed this is in terms of actual availability of the Wasteland Warfare game, but between the Amazon show just dropping (and being amazing) and the new Fallout Factions game currently on preorder for a July release, it will definitely find a use....
For anyone wondering, Fallout Factions is more of a simplified squad-a-side skirmish game, rather than the semi-roleplay few figures each of Wasteland Warfare. I think Factions will be more up my street to be honest, and they already have get-you-by PDF army lists for several factions from the existing Wasteland Warfare range.

Hey, I think y'all should check out "Trench Crusade". It's a badass new thing that's like almost Dieselpunk type if WWI that's Heaven vs Hell. Crusaders versus Hell itself.

Would love to get into fallout but damn if their minis aren't even more expensive than GW's
True, but on average you need far less models to play on the whole.
And if you're playing solo or just with a mate you could do what my mate and I do and just proxy models in that have 30mm bases (or even coins as we did on a few occasions).
Yeah when a $40 to $60 purchase is everything you need to play that's way cheaper than a $600 army

"They're not green." They're your figures. If you want to paint them bright pink, you can. Hell, Green Vault suits and gold BoS armor as well. Do whatever. Have fun with it.

Super Mutant with differnt skin oclors aisde from green do exist in Fallout, good examples are in Fallout New Vegas.

You did a lovely job on these minis... definitely not GW quality sculpts, but great for playing a boardgame and getting you into the vibe

Funny how clunky and slapdash the T60 armour looks (or more importantly, feels) when you paint it right after painting Adeptus Astartes armour. Took me a while to mentally adjust and re-frame.

This game can get auper fiddly but is one of the best narrative wargames out there, especially for solo/coop play. I also like that you can buy huat the rules as expansions...I tend to proxy minis for my wasteland.
I've not played it in much depth yet, but I've got the rules down, I think. I'm looking forward to adding a few factions (raiders are up next). 😀

I just want to add that any of the additional sets are resin. There's also a resin upgrade for the starter set.
Modiphius is starting to produce HIPS boxes for the 'core' sets, but it will be a slow roll out. The less common boxes (named characters, specialist units, etc) will be resin for a long time.
Do you seal the pigments or just varnish?

I could have had my headphones back to front in fairness. We just had a newborn, so time is hard to come by, haha. I do remember changing the audio channels, so that's a strong possibility.

It's just such a shame there isn't more detail in these minis and that issue, and the price/quality ratio, is ultimately what has kept me away from Fallout Wasteland Warfare even as a Fallout fan. It's wild that these are supposedly 32mm figures yet seem to have the detail of cheap D&D 28mm minis. You both definitely did a good job bringing some life into them, though! If you're looking for a fun, small size skirmish game with good minis that isn't Warhammer, definitely check out Cyberpunk: Combat Zone.

I dont know if its in the rules or now, but im really bothered as an old 40k player that you guys move models front-to-back base... It was one of the first things i learned as what *not* to do.
