I've been speaking with Undergroove Records about this amazing and legendary album getting the full gate-fold vinyl reissue treatment. They say they really want to do it but would need to guarantee at least 130 sales to make it worthwhile. In my opinion, this is a massively underrated record that deserves more attention. Would you buy this on vinyl?
Would absolutely buy. Considered looking into re-releasing on my old label a few years back. If Undergroove needed/wanted another label to split it with I'd consider resurrecting my label? (Tell them the first Johnny Truant record reissued on vinyl would be great too aha)
Should see if they would consider partnering with like Zegema Beach Records, Wax Vessel, Larry Records, or some of these other newer revival labels. ZBR would be able to give them beautiful tape variants and work with Gotta Groove Records so all their vinyl come out fantastic too.
i had this on CD, and it's one of many to disappear over the years of turning into a proper grown up and moving etc. :( every time i hear it, it feels me with a crazy energy that not even a few cups of strong coffee can compete with. Awesome.
