Super cool riff, thanks M & D. No beer today? Oh well, I will... I love these old vintage speakers review. It's always amazing to see old technology implementations outperforming new ones in so many ways. Around here I've got some old Sony APM-22ES connected to a television... these speakers have so much punch, so much drive, it even makes boring movies sound exiting!
I went to the Melbourne HiFi Show at the Southern Cross in 1978 or 79 and remember the NS 1000 very well and fondly. They were demonstrated much louder than everyone else and I recall the presenter played a steam train recording that shook the room. The only other speaker I recall as fondly was the Realistic Minimus 7.
Great “Riff” guys. What would you have scored these speakers at David? All very entertaining. I need not be embarrassed for my liking of Alphonse Mouzon when you “like” Boney M!!!!
Ooooh, I want to know what you guys think of these, these are the type of speakers I would be buying if I had robed a bank. A Swiss one because a Portuguese bank would probably get me an entry level used Elac with acceptable damage.
U to sound like a bunch of old women, you remind me of Les Dawson sketch. Maybe you could do that sometime dress up in drag and do the Les Dawson sketch on your stream that'll be entertaining for Christmas! a bit of panto, I think we'd all like to see that you brave enough???? You might go viral if you do it good don't listen to him he's a heathen what's wrong with Boney M it's good music.

Brilliant riff loved it 😊
An excellent ''Dave's Hi-Fi Riff'' - bad luck Mike 😂. I'm sure you'll get even at some stage.
Yamaha made superb professional drums when their Japan manufacturing facility was in production.
As an empathetic and jealous baldie myself, I think it is only right that Dave lend his increasingly unruly 'wig' to Mike for a bit.
Thanks chaps. Would love to see a higher tier Yam amp like the 2200 or 3200.
It was 78 when I first heard them though I never got round to buying a pair till 2016!

2 bloody weeks between riffs boys too much withdrawal
Ah, David Price, the "Che" Guevara of HiFi reviews.
They are high end - literally and figuratively! They cost about as much as a five year old used car.
You should not review the SCM 40´s active....... because you wont return them ...
