The A used to be one of those lines where it would be EXTREMELY rare to see any NTT on the line, fast-forward to 2024 and it's completely normal and easy to get A line announcements. When I lived near the A/C before the 179s debuted, I would always see 32 or 46. Time flies Right now it's the same with the 1/3, they very very rarely see R142s and that might change in the future when the 62/As start phasing out. Everything we find rare [with an ntt on a smee only line] will eventually become a normalized thing sometime in the future .
Could someone explain, why it’s “This is a Brooklyn Bound A Express Train” instead of local train til the 168St? The train holds on every station there and the dots are black on the map. So, shouldn’t it be a local train there?
It would've been more reliable if back then when they were constructing the (A) and (C) line to continue the express tracks up to Inwood 207 Street and Washington Heights 168 could be the express stop allowing people to transfer to the (1) from the (A) or (C) or people from the (1) could be able to transfer to the (A) or (C)
The R160s running on the (A)/Rockaway Park /(S)huttle train lines will never happen. However, there are possibilities that the (A) might run with R179s or R211s. Hopefully, the (C) train runs with R46s. Haven't seen them for a motherf*cking decade/while SMFH
Kevin Williams So once CBTC finishes, the R46s on the (F) and (R) train lines will most likely be phased out to be shifted to the (A) and/or (C) train line(s). Correct?
+Ayumu Izumo I don't think that's possible, because the (A) isn't equipped with CBTC, and the R143s are arranged in 4-car sets only. I don't think 4-car train sets or 8-car R143 train sets on the (A) train line would be a successful idea for the MTA to be honest
For the announcements I was credited on happened as a result of a (F) crew signing it up as an (A) to Lefferts Boulevard. This was a result of a late night GO in late-2012.
Its missing the connection to the AirTrain at Howard Beach-JFK, Broad Channel (transfer to the Rockaway Park Shuttle) and at Rockaway Boulevard (transfer to the A train to Lefferts Boulevard
"Transfer is available to the M60SBS" is missing at 125th St,W train" is missing at 42nd Street "B46SBS" is missing at Utica Av & "Airtrain to JFK Airport" is missing. "The next and last stop is Far Rockaway-"Mott Av" is missing.
Those weren't there when I made the video, also the only one that announces Far rockaway Mott Avenue like that is a rerouted c train or the shuttle train program. All the a train announcements got cut up
At 3:28 she was about to say 1, but it cut that right off and skipped to 2. Also, how is it they got her to record these announcements, but couldn't say "Fulton Street", or had the other voice do it (because Fulton Street hasn't changed its name, and the same voice replaced "Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center")
They replaced all the original announcements for that stop with that Lexington av version after the Fulton st center opened. Not sure why but I'm assuming they didn't want to confuse people with it announcing "Broadway nassau" like it did before.
+Im a train Fanatic they should have kept some of the R160 sets on the A. The A is In need of new trains. The R46 are gonna die soon, as well as the R32's. They are truly a dying art on the New York City subway.
+Im a train Fanatic you don't make no sense because, you said R179 and the other technology trains are gonna run on the A around 2017 but you said The power is too weak therefore you're dumb. Just saying.

Those ½ cut announcements are trash. Why take the hyphenated part out? Smh
This video is almost 10 years old, Mr R&R (weird name change from Mr Railfan) should make a new one
Do you have a Leffette Blvd bound announcements? R160 specificly please
Does every R160 subway car have the Jessica Ettinger-Goettsman announcement for Fulton Street?
+Jarell Clark J , (M to Broad st via J line) and Z have the original Fulton street announcements.
Also you find it on the (G) train program because one of its stops in Brooklyn is Fulton Street
