Degree is must … in any case …in anyone ,s life
Would you be okay with someone already knowing what they want to do, and their parents being supportive, and actually encouraging them to proceed with their chosen career. And that certain profession doesn’t require a degree, it just needs a strong portfolio. And they start early at the age of 17 and by the age of 21 are already earning 6 figures. Do we still question that person in not having a degree. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Degree is not just piece of paper it is key to enter ur chosen career with knowledge n by the time with experience u will shine ….even in food , clothes or any career…
For example aik darzi b stitch karta n designer b … but difference is obvious cause of degree n knowledge…
@@raziamehmood6451 i disagree, here the aim differs, one dreamed to be a designer never a darzi, and one aimed for just being a tailor and nothing beyond that, a degree has nothing to do with both the mindsets (exposure does) A darzi is somone who stiches something thats already been shown to him, a designer creates a dress from scratch (sketch to the whole outfit). Both of these things require different skill sets, hence knowledge and exposure is what would help them here. That can be attained by taking online courses, physical classes, attending sessions and what not, many don’t offer degrees after every course you do, that doesn’t make them any less of a professional in my eye. If they have the skillset to deliver what’s being asked in a timely manner, then they’re professionals.
In my previous message i was referring to one being a digital artist, one who illustrates books (hand drawn illustration) that doesn’t require one to have a degree, but a strong portfolio, that speaks for it self, and that you can build with time and knowledge, be it from UA-cam, many online art university offering courses with certificate at the end and other sites like skillshare, udemy, NMA etc.
If a profession requires one to have a degree (medical, engineering, armed services etc) by all means earn it, but one where it isn’t required, why would you wan to throw away 4 years of you life, when you could have been polishing your skills through out this whole time. Parental pressure is one thing that forces people to at least complete their degrees, and then go towards their chosen profession that has nothing to do with what they learned in the past 4 years and have a degree in. Like I’ve seen people just doing degrees, for the aim to qualify for marriage one day, and nothing else.
For some people degree might be their key to success, but for many it’s just an old tale on a piece of paper tagging along.
Would have loved to hear your thoughts on this matter, but alas!
