- This video is highlighting the issues in our Healthcare system. Most people won't realize that most of what the Hospital says in this video is not true! Just because they tell us things as medical professionals doesn't make it right. We have to have a understanding for ourselves... But just know if you question their "authority" you might end up with an experience like ours. Bullying people for their money should never be okay! No money is worth me going to jail or losing my family. This Hospital took it too far for a larger payday.
It's honestly sad how little people know about this industry and how things are suppose to function. What they were proscribing was not accurate. The Vice President of this Hospital confirmed our findings. Nurses at this hospital also told us that the Hispanic community struggles big time at this Hospital and nothing is ever done about it. A lot of this might go over peoples heads or they might just be closed minded but no matter how you feel we will be fighting for change in the Healthcare system. They aren't victims lol If you have time go look at the reviews for this hospital. Know your patient rights.
I can’t imagine going through that, being treated like this ESPECIALLY after having a baby, trying to recover mentally and emotionally 😭❤️ I am so sorry!

This hits on many problems with hospitals. Number 1 being communication. Listening to the patients. Realizing patients are PEOPLE and to be treated as such. So sad. I hate this was your experience. I used to work at the main branch there and for the most part, they do focus on being better there than at most hospitals. So crazy!!! Sorry for your experience.

I’m watching this again OMG Chelsea was litterally sobbing in distress because that horrible officer was causing so much stress to her and the baby! And for the officer to have the nerve to be so hostile and agressive to the father who is a black male because she wanted to get a reaction out of him!? SMH I am so proud of Chelsea and Malik for standing their ground and not giving into the bullying! They wanted to get y’all to be loud and acting crazzy but little did they know y’all were an educated family who wouldn’t fall for their trap! I am so sorry! I've got 3 kids and when I was pregnant with my oldest, now 9, I heard bad things about the l&d at HH. I gave birth to all of my kids at Crestwood. Hands down the best care ever.

Some babies are born over the weekend and with a pediatrician shortage here you have to wait till you have the baby to make appointments. Praying for you guys. I am glad you are home safe. I am sorry you had to go through that smh very ridiculous. I have never heard of a hospital waiting to feed a baby right after birth. With each of my children the first thing I was told to do was feed my children that’s common sense. I’m glad y’all are home and your baby is doing much better.

Just curious, how does 30 minutes on google trump years of medical school, training and practice? By your own admission, the baby had a blood sugar issue within the first 5 hours after birth. That allow constitutes a medical issue.

That is not a medical issue from Birth, it’s definitely one they tried to create. The 30minutes was spent in the American Academy of Pediatrics. Lol seems to be you are meshing things together. Build by Faith I did watch the video in it’s entirety before making any comment. I also heard professionals from multiple organizations attempt to communicate to which you felt it best to just act as if they weren’t present when all they wanted was to find resolution to the situation. After watching the video in its entirety, I could think of several factors based on the clinical information discussed that could have, and luckily didn’t result in complications. I am extremely happy that your child is home and healthy. But don’t confuse the fact a search in any website is the same as years clinical practice and judgement.
Jason Lopez I just met with the hospital today my man. The information that I used was from the American Academy of Pediatrics. Not just random websites. The Vice President of the Hospital wouldn’t even agree with the nurses. We have her on record saying it. And all the professionals in the video admitted to wrong doing. The higher ups confirmed that their medical professionals were fool of crap. So idk where you stand if they don’t even agree with their own. Jason learn your rights, it was a liability for us to speak. Your naive to think all they wanted to do is help us. This is why we want people to educate theirselves. More to come my man. God bless

I know how it is also being in an interracial relationship and I pray my birth is not compromised by people that are supposed to be professional personal opinions. I’m glad you both were able to handle this situation as calmly as you did especially since they would not give you a reason why baby couldn’t go home. They should have the integrity to alert future patients that this place is a scam for profit and not a hospital so that people can plan ahead to go to another place.
If you are referring to us. We actually sat down with the hospital to formulate a plan and they didn’t go through with it. We connected with Birth Monopoly who covers a lot of these issues politically. She also wrote a piece on it. We also connected with a few others that specialize in covering these matters. We used all platforms to get the word out multiple times. We have published 2 videos on the matter here on UA-cam. You have watched the video now and are in the known. So when you say we should have the integrity to alert future patients, I’m not sure what you mean?

How in the hell was there racism involved for protocol?
Auburnman HUNH who said the racism was the protocols? Which protocols? Did you watch the whole video? We spoke about the nurses having issue with us and that we didn’t include all footage because of length of the video. Why? Because of comments like this. This video is more than about race. It’s showing a heavily flawed health care system as well. Don’t be so gullible into believing that was protocol. The protocol changed 3-4 times through the video and they broke the protocol by the end several times! If you are doing what’s right you stand by your information. Everyone should be trained on this information. Why, because if you don’t go by the book you can be sued! They spoke about liability in the video but stuck to non of it. Please don’t tell me they were innocent. We know what we experienced for the 36 hours we attended the hospital. We aren’t those people that just post stuff like this. It was heavily thought through. Please watch the whole video before inputting your opinion. It might help you to understand. Even if you don’t feel like there was racism, do you view them as right?

I think it's a shame that you are using your platform to ruin a career of a young nurse for personal gain on your social media platforms. Whatever insecurities you have about your interracial relationship should not be deflected on your nurse just because she happens to be a minority. You said yourself that she did her job well so what exactly did she do to make you feel she disapproved? A black man being married to a white woman should not be the focus of your relationship it should be the love between you two as people which is beautiful. I am actually disgusted that you would attempt to capitalize off of the current state of our nation and use "racism" as a way to gain viewers. Just the black nurse huh...? She isn’t even being come after nor mentioned by name... what is she having to deal with from us? She isn’t the goal smh She played the smallest role ever in this video. The insecurity doesn’t lie over here. They provide a service, attitudes toward patients matter! We didn’t treat her ill whatsoever for the duration of our stay and don’t plan on in the future. We are meeting with the hospital to help future families. That system is madly flawed and we are hoping to bring change... no suing or money has been the goal. We also aren’t a monetized channel😅
Clearly you must know this person because this comment is a little off and projected. If she is your family or friend you can rest assure she isn’t the target. I don’t know what truth you think is being left out but the only thing we left out was more garbage from this hospital. We have tons of letters from all nationalities coming in about their experience with Huntsville Hospital. If it’s truly that bad we gotta help them find a different hospital to nurse at... I wouldn’t want to be there either. And no one called her races. She acted uncomfortable with us which isn’t uncommon in our experiences. No biggie, just mentioned.

I'm just saddened by the burst of negativity that seems to be the trend right now. I challenge you to find the positives. A beautiful wife, healthy baby. There is nothing wrong with advocating for improvements. No one and no system is perfect.
Chrystine thank you for your well thought out response. With that being said you just further confirmed the situation at hand. The nurse that was mentioned by this individual “the minority” received us at a time that we were happy. The situation had not escalated yet. The great nurses from labor and delivery had just passed us off to this nurse that started off distant. And the second nurse just wasn’t good, she wasn’t even following the hospitals practices for the nurses. If they could lose their license that easily you would think they would be more apt to serve in a better capacity. We are people of God and we wear forgiveness literally on our sleeve. We had no mindset of suing during the altercation. We were simply trying to protect ourselves and get out of an awful hospital. We asked for an AMA liability waiver and they refused to give it to us and tried to tell us that our insurance wouldn’t cover our stay which was a lie. This situation escalated way out of proportion. We had sat down with the heads of this hospital for the first meeting already to provoke changes in the hospital. They reviewed the video and was taken back. The footage shown they didn’t have answers for and they confirmed that the protocols mentioned in this video are not the hospitals protocols. This video paved room to deeper issues within the hospital. So while people voice their opinions the Hospital has already openly rebuked the processes in this video.
