    Good harvest, reward for your hard work. Learned something new today about the Japanese and stokes varieties. Thanks for very interesting and informative video. Blessings.

    i thought you waited until the vine dried that is what a farmer told me to don't pull them until the vine dries.

    • @gardentalkjamerican871
      @gardentalkjamerican871  2 місяці тому +1

      Personally, I don't dare wait on the vines to dry. And never did either. If I do, two things usually happen and simultaneously most of the time, they get way too big and are less tasty and some types are very dry and woody. Stokes Purple and Vardaman are ike that. Secondly, the insects begin to feed on them. I suppose you can do that depending on your climate. Another thing to note is that some sweet potatoes grow very fast and get massive quickly, like Stokes. Look at the first video of this season that I did. I'll have to make pies with those giants.

      For potatoes you should wait until the stems are wilting or dry but sweet potatoes are different.

    I don’t give money to anyone! I buy food. Or buy milk and then give that. Guess what? They don’t take it! In Peru on my missionary, I was told never to give money. Give powdered milk packages or buy food. I gave a package of powdered milk to one woman begging for money to buy milk for her kids, and she threw it back to me almost hitting me in the face!! She was so mad!! 🤣. So…my point…never give money
