Janko you couldn't have timed this video any better! Our 992 (base) cabriolet is due to arrive in January. I have been worried because normally I would not want a soft top 911, but the wife insisted that it either be a cabriolet or a Targa (which have not yet been released). But now I'm pretty excited about it, thanks to this video. Anyway.... Agate Grey, Satin Aurum wheels, Sport Chrono and Sport Exhaust, and the 21/20" wheels. Should be good! (PS. We are in our 60's) . Old man that was a very a good review. Well done. Don’t feel bad being called old man since it is coming from someone older than you. We just don’t allow the young to call us old. What I love about your reviews, is they touch on matters that are never brought up by mainstream reviewers such as the emotional connection to the car, or certain elements of beauty about a car, or at times certain criticism that main stream reviewers are afraid to mention or bring up not to offend the manufacturer such as Porsche. So I call to your reviews the “Missing Link” as they often give me that missing information I need to formulate an opinion about the car. Well done my friend. Mark
Mark, I'm going to print out your comment. Thanks a lot, I read this when I needed energy and you gave it to me. Thanks for all the time you have spent on my channel. Kudos.
4D driving💋 Actually the most fun 911-driving experience I’ve had, was in my scruffy triple black 964C2 convertible. Smelling the forest and sea passing by and getting that flat six air cooled cup exhaust rumble unfiltered into my ears was a major addition to the driving experience👌🏻 Maybe a 992 C2 convertible with a manual gear box? Love the colors on this one❤️
Janko, Here in the UK, with increasingly congested roads and speed Cameras everywhere enjoying the odd (Sunday morning) drive in a convertible car and feeling more connected to the environment (at a slower pace) is a real pleasure. In my opinion to achieve the same amount of enjoyment in hard top one is often travelling far faster. This can be very detrimental to keeping a ‘clean’ license. This is why my fun sports car is a convertible.
Janko, I REALLY enjoy your delivery, passion and honest reviews! Love the color contrast in this spec also. Took delivery of my Carrera S Manual in March. Same Bordeaux/Black interior with Red top in GT Silver. I’m unable to go anywhere without being stopped somewhere to discuss the car and spec. Amazing daily driver but not yet 60….57!
Thank you Janko, I'm turning 57 this year so after seeing this video I just ordered the cabriolet instead of the coupè, but since power is really never enough after you drive your new car for a couple of months, I went for the 4S ;)
Thank you for this well made and thoughtful video Janko. Your enthusiasm is captivating. It is an amazing car and thankfully the issue with the coins affecting the electric parking brake has been solved.
The hump on the rear deck seems accentuated on the GTS. On my 991.1 TTS cab the area that you point out is even with the vents. Another great video. Thanks for posting. Same color combination as mine. The extra noise from the engine is fantastic.
I am going to be controversial here and as a Porsche fan I hate say it but I think you were seduced by the open air driving rather than the car itself Janko. Having driven the 992 for a bit now I always felt something was missing and you stated it early in your video. It’s the art of driving. That pleasure you get threading a car down the twisty roads. The thing with this 992 is that I think you will get all that open top experience and the fun from a car at a fraction of the cost. The art of driving in a convertible? There are only 2 answers a true petrol head will give. The Mazda MX5 or the Porsche Boxster in Manual form. Driving those 2 cars really bring home what open top sports car driving is all about.
As I always say, there is a Porsche for everyone, and perhaps a Mazda ;-) Personally, I'm looking forward to driving me Spyder. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

why the hell to do stay with your boots on the back seats ?!
Dear Andrei, I am as careful as you are, what you do not see in the video is all the protective material. Thanks for watching and did you like the elk?
@@JankoLind The message you are sending to viewers by doing that (sitting with your boots inside the Porsche) is just wrong, even though you have protective material, you are not doing yourself any favors. You shouldn't need to explain yourself , maybe for the next videos just try to avoid things that look wrong. This is only a friendly advice. What is an "elk" ?:)
White is white
Always white...
nobody should care about turbulence , I can't believe you r serious we you describe the back design of the 911's , the 922 is so huge in the back there no way to do another hump ,
driving with the back wind stop or web or how is called remember me a baby bed , nooooooo way
well as I have sad many times, there is a Porsche for everybody. I respect your point of view.
@@JankoLind Yes, but when I See so much exitement for a 911 with same pipes roof and wind web as a Opel I get crazy , I wish in sport cars in the next future, I was dreaming for it as child and now are changing in Barbie cars !!!!!
